Tule is a 9 to lab with front right leg amputation 8 weeks ago. He was back in full form retrieving ducks this week!

He went out to the duck  blind at 6 weeks, made a couple short retrieves at 7 weeks.

When I was told he needed this surgery I thought his hunting days were over. I make him rest between retrieves but he goes at full speed.

I just want others to know, it is not the end when your fur baby has this surgery.

I want to post a video or pic but cant figure out how.

How amazing!  That is really super news for you and for him - I will find you the technical post that talks about photos and videos and share!

We can't wait to see these!

On October 27, 2016, nearly 6 months after amputation, and 18 months since his cancer likely started, we lost Pofi to a recurrence of Soft Tissue Sarcoma in his spine quite suddenly.  His canine sister also succumbed to cancer on March 1, 2019 - we lavished her with our love in the interim, but life was never quite the same without her only real canine friend. Cliff kitty had to leave us, too, suddenly, in August 2019. Lucia kitty grieved all these losses, but helped us welcome two new Lurchers into our home and our lives, Shae and Barley.

That's awesome!

Good for you for making him rest- I'm sure he doesn't like that.  Its always wonderful to hear that a dog can get back to doing something you thought might not happen again.

Have you seen Bart's story? Another inspirational pup who actually earned a hunting title after his amp!

And for videos- I post them from YouTube.  You just click on share, copy the url that is displayed, then paste it into a blank line in your forum post.

Can't wait to see Tule in action! I love seeing dogs do a job that they love to do.

It's so nice to know that Tule is doing so well! Thanks for taking time to share.

I'm sorry I missed this earlier, I can't wait to see photos and videos of him. Let us know if you'd like help posting them.

Congrats what a great success. I know for a hunting dog there is nothing better than the retrieve so I can only imagine the joy in his heart getting to do what he loves.
