This is so cruel, it's just unbearable. I'm so sorry, Teresa. Eurydice knows nothing other than that she is loved and cherished and cuddling her Momma. Eurydice is happy; in fact I cannot think of a better definition of happiness than Miss Cow, I really can't. It is you who is suffering, and I only wish that I could find words to ease your pain, but I know that there are no words. Just know that I am thinking of you both so much and holding you close in my heart. Sending love heartheartheart

I was just getting ready to post a "Right the EFF on" note and now am posting something entirely different.  I'm sorry that you got those results.  You have truly lived life with Eurydice to the max and I am humbled by that.  Don't let this set back stop that.

I know this is hard, but Eurydice couldn't care less.  (Although she might like a cheeseburger, since she knows that will make you feel better).  She has been living life to the fullest, and you need to keep doing the same!

Otis - 106 pound lab/Dane mix, lost his right front leg to osteosarcoma on Febuary 9, 2016.  Four rounds of carboplatin completed in April, 2016.  Lung mets August 25, 2016.  Said goodbye too soon on September 4, 2016.   Lost his adopted sister, Tess, suddenly on October 9, 2016. likely due to hemangiosarcoma.

Wherever they are, they are together.

Just shaking my head in incredulous disbelief!

Okay...And I mean this and I'm not overreaching at all, okay!! Most of us here must do follow up xrays, not always go to the extent of scans. It is clear these would NOT have shown up on xrays! It is also clear thst these spots are sooo small that Kelvin didn't even see them at first!'':-) h
He had to study it harder to "find" them.

And I know you've been here long enought to know what I'm about to say is true.........NOTHING, NOTHING, NOTHING has changed in Eurydice's world!! This dog is on a vacaw that would exhaust any "normal" dog, much less a HUGE TRIPAWD GREAT DANE!!! This dog is fit and strong and fit as a fiddle!!!

Of couse this is a kick in the gut to hear this. Not minimizing that at all. You are sooooo connected to Eurydice and she to you, it will become more and more clear that you need to put this behind you quickly and get back to the NOW. You have the inner strength and wisdom to step back into your higher self to know you will NOT let this interfere in any way, shape or form with your time with Eurydice!! I know, and everyone here knows, your love is sooooo soul deep for Eurydice that you will be the best role model ever for living in the now, living in the moment...just like Eurydice is!!

It is clear that Eurydice's mission here on earth is nowhere near finished! Eurydice has shown the world howlarge dogs can handle life on three legs with a joyful and exuberant heart! But more than that Teresa, Eurydice also has a mission of spreading love and happiness to everyone she meets! And goodness knows, she has met more people (and dogs) in the past several months than most dogs do in a lifetime!! And make noooooo mistake about it, she has touched the hearts of every single Souland they will forever be better for being in her presence! Just like we are!,!

Now go get Eurydice's leash and watch her dance with joy! Eurydice is still Eurydice and she's having a blast!!

Love and hugs...lots and lots of them.....And we want a video of the happy leash dance!!

Sally and Alumni Happy Hannah and Merry Myrtle and Frankie too!

Happy Hannah had a glorious additional bonus time of over one yr & two months after amp for osteo! She made me laugh everyday! Joined April's Angels after send off meal of steak, ice cream, M&Ms & deer poop!

Wow, this thread is a microcosm of the cancer battle: hope, joy, despair.

The good thing, at least for Eurydice, is that the only one of those she has to carry is joy. As her companion you have to deal with the stress of hope and the agony of despair.  I think this is another definition of Be More Dog , as hard as it is to let go of hope and despair you have to for her sake and just help her carry the joy!

I'm sorry you got this bad news, cancer does suck in every way, shape and form. Give yourself a day and a bottle of wine to process this information and then get back to living every day like you have been, full of gigantic ear and cheek flapping joy.

We are all rooting for your girl to have many more adventures and are here as always to celebrate each hop and help when you need a shoulder.

Damn, the cancer roller coaster in one thread on one topic in one day.  Teresa, I am gutted to hear this.  We all want our dogs to be the exception, the miracle.  But the miracle is the last 7 months and in particular this amazing extended trip you two have been on.  It is an astonishing gift you have given each other - such memories and such fun.

And Eurydice isn't done.  Very small spots - we are all sending our love and best thoughts for them to stay small for a long while yet.

On October 27, 2016, nearly 6 months after amputation, and 18 months since his cancer likely started, we lost Pofi to a recurrence of Soft Tissue Sarcoma in his spine quite suddenly.  His canine sister also succumbed to cancer on March 1, 2019 - we lavished her with our love in the interim, but life was never quite the same without her only real canine friend. Cliff kitty had to leave us, too, suddenly, in August 2019. Lucia kitty grieved all these losses, but helped us welcome two new Lurchers into our home and our lives, Shae and Barley.

Whoa... when I read this update and needed some time to recover from the shock of it. As I'm sure you need some time also.

Eurydice has more travels and adventures ahead. Okay, so she's living with cancer. The key word is LIVING and that girl still has things to do with you. She's working on her twirls, spins, and flying. I adore her.

Of course I know nothing about treatments but I wanted to bring this forward so you can ask the oncologist about it. It looks like Cimetadine is a complement to cancer therapy: http://tripawds.....treatment/

Teresa, you and Eurydice are like family to us. Know we are here for you.

I'm so sorry , if only you could erase in you brain the second call!
I know thats impossible and gut wrenching news.

I wouldn't give up on your miracles! Eurydice is already one, living life hugely with cancer!

Don’t you give up hope keep on fighting with Eurydice as you already are doing. Her life is not over or changed since Kelvin found the lumps!

Keep living every wonderful moment on your travels, my aunt always tells us to live a Tik at time! All any of us can do ,we cant predict the future. We look forward to seeing you both having Christmas in Portugal and South of France!

HUGS to you both!

I was so happy to read your first update and then now this. I'm so sorry - but like everyone has said, Miss Cow (I love that nickname) doesn't know. She's not showing any symptoms, and will continued hopping around happily! And who knows, she could carry on with those little lung spots for a long time. You'll continue to enjoy every day with her and she is blissfully unaware of any difference - but I know how hard it is. My thoughts are with you.

Talk about a roller coaster ride ... You had one just all in one day!  Ugh this stupid disease!  Ok, but like Sally said, nothing has changed in Eurydice's world.  So, just keep doing what you're doing.  She's a wonderful ambassador for our babies!  Spreading joy and love everywhere she goes!  I just love watching her adventures!

Give her a big smooch from me!
