Hi everybody🌹🐶🐱
I feel a bit guilty that I haven't read any posts for quite a while as me and miss cow were finishing our 2 1/2 month trip to Europe so we were busy, busy bees 🐝🐝🐝🐝
I will resume posting as of today 💻
At the moment I am biting my nails hard 💅🏽 as I just left Eurydice at the hospital for her PET scan 🙈
I didn't compulsorily have to do it but now that it has been almost 7 months after amp and she finished her 6 sessions of carboplatin and has been on metronomics for over 1 month it felt like the right time to find out how her body is exactly.
Kelvin, her oncologist, said it wasn't totally necessary but at the same time if we find something now there are more changes of treating it than if we wait another 2 or 3 months ...
AAAAAARGH 😑😑😑😑
So hard to know what to do ...
I was over anxious about a possible problem during scanning, there was this little voice in the back of my mind saying how about if she has a reaction and dies during the procedure?
But having asked Kelvin about the risks he is not worried as her heart is strong, they'll do a blood test before to check if everything is ok so apparently the risk is that she could have bloat during the test but if that is the case they would operate immediately and it happens only in very rare cases anyway ...
I'll know late afternoon ...
I must try and do something to stop wandering if and what and how abouts .........
I do hope I'll be here later writing how marvellously well my girl is, that's all I want !
Sending you a big hug and cuddles to your fluffies, all pawsitive waves are welcome 🌊🌊🌊🌊🌊😘😘😘😘❤️
Eurydice 77kg/170lb Great Dane limping end of April 2016, amputation (right front leg/osteosarcoma) 4 May 2016 6 courses of carboplatin followed by metronomic therapy, lung mets found 30 Nov 2016. 3 courses of doxorubicin, PET scan 26 Jan 2017 showed more mets so stopped chemo. Holistic route April 2017. Lung X-ray 5 May 2017 showed several tennis ball size mets, started cortisone and diuretics. Miss Cow earned her XXL silver wings 12 June 2017, 13 months and 1 week after amputation and 6 1/2 months after lung mets, she was the goofiest dawg ever and is now happily flying from cloud to cloud woof woofing away :-)

Nitro 11 1/2 yr old Doberman; right front amp June 2014. Had 6 doses carboplatin, followed by metronomic therapy. Rocked it on 3 legs for over 3 years! My Warrior beat cancer, but couldn't beat old age. He crossed the Bridge peacefully on July 25, 2017, with dignity and on his terms. Follow his blog entitled "Doberman's journey"
"Be good, mama loves you".....run free my beautiful Warrior
Oh darn, I really don't like waiting. Please know we are with you.
My sister Nancy had her scan yesterday but we have to wait until Friday for the results. So is Nancy worrying? No. Is Eurydice worrying? No. Nancy is planning our baking for next week and Eurydice is dreaming of stuffed pink bunnies.
Lots of hugs, furry cuddles and positive thought,
Auntie Kerren and Cousins Eli and Mona
Oh I hate waiting too!!!! Sending lots of love and positive energy!!! Keep us posted!!!
XOXO

Our story: Broke rear leg in June 2013 - non-conclusive results for cancer so leg was plated and pinned. Enlarged spleen in September 2013 and had it removed and was diagnosed with Hemangiosarcoma and started chemotherapy. Became a Tripawd January 8th, 2014 and definitive Hemangiosarcoma diagnosis. Three major surgeries in 7 months and Shelby took them all like a champ only to lose her battle to cancer in her brain. We had 8 amazing extra months together and no regrets. #shelbystrong #loveofmylife
Your entire Tripawd Universe is sending positive energy to Miss Cow! No matter what...NO MATTER WHAT...Eurydice is feeling great!!
And goodness gracious, you HAVE been posting and sharing the most fun filled and fantastic vacation ever...and that has brought us so much joy here! That kind of support is priceless! And this is the vacation that keeps on giving! I know I still have a lot of videos to catch up on and I look forward to that!

Hey everybody 💗💗💗
The worry cup is MINE 🏆 only mine (at least for today)
I was grey with worry but it turns out my girl is totally cancer free for the moment 🎉🎉🎉🎈🎁🎊🎊
CANCER FREE 💨💥💨💥💨💥💨
Not even ONE nasty little stupid cancer cell 💩💩💩nada, ziltz 🎈🎈🎈🎈
Kelvin was over the moon with the results (blood test better than his as well just as it happened with the onco in Portugal😆) he says Eurydice is a model patient 👍🏼🐮💕
So the plan is to keep metro going for 6-9 months and then have another scan and take it from there but so far so good!
She is in marvellous form and great mood 💪🏼😍
Thank you all so, so, so, so much for the tsunami of pawsitive energy today 🌊🌊🌊🌊🌊 it did the trick 😉
You are my angels, I feel incredibly close to each one of you, never had brothers or sisters so now I have loads 👫👯👫👯👫👯👫👯
Kerren, I am sending Nancy all the positive energy I can master, please let her know I am thinking about her and I am really impressed with the way she is dealing with her condition, an attitude like hers grants loads of extra quality time for sure 👍🏼❤️
LOVE YOU ALL 💗💗💗
Semding you a gigantic avalanche of kisses and a zillion hugs and cuddles to all your fluffies 😘😘😘😘💗💗💗💗🐾🐾🐾🐶🐱

Hi everybody 💗💗💗
Sorry to give the cup back 🏆 to somebody else ...
Kelvin called me back after we left the hospital to say after a more detailed look into the PET scan they found three little masses that would not have been detectable in X-rays
This means cancer is back despite all our best efforts and the latest technology and treatment.
I have no words.
I have been here at Tripawds long enough to have witnessed what can happen when you are facing this ugly, awful monster.
I, like all of you loving, wonderful pawrents, hoped for the best and I even hoped for a miracle but sadly this was not to happen for us.
We are starting a different chemo now, metronomics doesn't work for us anymore and after the five maximum doses of this other product we are left with less powerful medicine to contain cancer.
I truly am heartbroken 💔
And this has nothing to do with being pessimistic or negative, it is just facing ugly reality in a near future.
Fear not, we are heading to Portugal for Christmas with the family and friends and then on to the South of France for more family and friends and, of course, we are meeting auntie Sandrine and auntie Isabelle before heading back to our third chemo session in the UK.
Health allowing.
Me and Eurydice are cuddling in bed now, she definitely is the best blanket ever☺️
I so adore her 💘💘💘
Hugs and cuddles going your way 😘😘😘😘💞💞🐾
