Rosalie is a character. She is nice sometimes lol but only to me. She does cuddle but doesn’t like to be disturbed after she is comfortable usually in my lap.

going to attempt to sleep in my bed again tonight hoping the trazodone I just have duke allows him to feel comfortable to sleep.

does anyone else experience their dog having what I’m guessing is separation anxiety. He whines and barks until I come back down stairs to the couch the. He’ll lay down and go back to sleep. If I don’t come down he doesn’t stop barking or whining.

other than that Duke seems to be healing just fine. He gets around well. Plays with Denver and jumps on the couch.

I take him to get the mail bc it’s down the road a few yards and have to force him back home bc he wants to continue on for a longer walk than to the mail box and back.

Does he show this ki d  of ""separation anxiety behavior"  if you leave him at any other time??  Grocery store, errands, go into another room or do something  outside, etc, etc?

So glad overall he's doing well and showing  some eagerness  to go on longer walks.   They'll happen sweet Duke...slowly but surely.

Hugs

Sally and Alumni Happy Hannah and Merry Myrtle and Frankie too!

Happy Hannah had a glorious additional bonus time of over one yr & two months after amp for osteo! She made me laugh everyday! Joined April's Angels after send off meal of steak, ice cream, M&Ms & deer poop!

First, it's great that Duke continues doing so well! How did he sleep last night?

Did you see my feedback on your other post?

I did talked to the vet and they gave me more trazodone which I only give him when I think he’s feeling anxious. Usually when I have to go to work. I ran out of the tramadol but the vet today said we could just stick with the galliprant and gabapentin since the tramadol cause nausea and other things. He’s been good at night no all night whining or barking but I’ve also stayed with him. If I have to sleep on the couch for a few months for him to feel calm. So be it. Denver doesn’t seem to mind either. He likes to randomly wake me up with a toy in his mouth.

Well that's awesome you have the Traz on hand just in case. Hopefully as he gets done with healing, you'll be able to move off the couch without any issues. You are such a good mommy! Just gotta pick your battles when life gets ruff.
