my doberman Draco had his rear leg amputated due to bone cancer 7 days ago. Tonight he was standing waiting for me to take him out when he got shaky, fell, but on his bed so it was a soft surface. As he layer there I noticed a steady stream of blood gushing out  of his incision. Then when he got up, there were 5 huge blood clots that had came out of the incision . I got him outside and noticed another huge clot hanging out of his incision; which he eventually licked out.

Now its fine! No clots, no gushing blood. Just some small drips of blood...

what happened!?? Should I be concerned? It was really scary and messy!

WOW!  I'm sure this was scary for you!  Glad it stopped.

Yes, definitely  put your Vet in the loop!  It may have been just luid gushing from a seroma andn that's a good thing....but you need a Vet to guide you ii   this.

Update wihen you can.

I hope that you were able to get him to the vet today. Please let us know how it went OK? Stay strong, we are thinking of you two.

So Draco is acting fine , like nothing happened. The vet said he’s clotting, which is good and it was that serum fluid. So No worries, thank goodness!!

Plus he pooped for the first time Friday night when that happened 😃😃😃
