Ditto to what Sally said. Brownie was a SNIFFER! If we were at the park and I threw the ball he was just ignore me because he was too busy sniffing and exploring.

The expedition is a great stroller. Just check the weight to see if it would be too heavy. Use the Amazon link from this site and search Pet Gear Strollers. There are alot of options but I think you would want one that folds to carry up and down stairs. You might want to check out the gear blog. That's how I found Brownie's stroller. Besides the weight check to see what the dimensions are inside the stroller. You may not need the biggest one.

YOU have come such a long way from your first post! We are all so proud of Leyla and you!

Thank you so much. smiley4

I ordered a stroller with 20 kg. I thought the weight does not matter. But with Leyla in it that's too uncomfortable for me. So I had to send it back.

People's comments on the streets and in the train annoy me. Even if they might mean it well. It bothers me extremely when people say how great it is that I give *such* a dog a chance. As if she were rubbish and had to be given a chance. As if it wasn't her right to live.

I would love to hit them in the face.

Yeah,  lots of stress right now.  Do others opinions really mean that much?

I wouldn't let it make a difference.  Omg my whole family pittied Huck til i showed them his recovery.  They don't even see that now.

I hope your can find a way to celebrate your wins and love the life you have while you still have it❤

Hugs,

Do others opinions really mean that much? No, of course not. But I can't get used to the fact that dogs are seen as almost worthless in this society. Imagine random people on the streets would say to a mother with a disabled child, how nice it is to give *such* a child a chance?

It doesn't matter what other people think, so try to let it not bother you. These people were not facing this with their pet. Until you go thru this journey it is hard to understand. I wasn't going to amputate at first. But then I saw this dog who still wanted to play, had alot of life left, he just hurt.

The only thing that matters is that you know you did the right thing because to lovr Leyla, and that Leya is happy! By the videos I have seen she is happy!

To sum it up, if people are making rude remarks, screw them!sp_hearticon2

My Beautiful Beloved Brownie was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma on February 26, 2019.  With all odds against him he lived an additional one year and eight days with amputation, love, and prayer.  I was honored to be his mom, and I have never been so proud!  He will live forever in my Heart!

Sounds like Leyla's way of walking and then stopping for some sniffing that tells her  all the adventures  that happened in that spot.😎  The fact that she sis the same pattern to some degree before on four is a good sign.

I always like looking for "life lessons" in whatever  situations are presented  to me.  And dogs are always our great teachers.  Soooo....as far as other people' and their behavior, we cannot control those circumstances how they think,  but we aure can control how we react to it. We can chose a reaction  that empowers us then  and move on.

No one here thinks of our  Tripawds as "disabled", that's for sure!!  They are such courageous and beautiful  inside and out.  You see that in Leyla as so we.

Gove that beautiful  Soil an extra treat from is today, okay?

Hugs

As a young dog she always did her own thing and didn't listen at the first word. But now she seems to trust my opinion. icon_lol It is really touching how she takes serious what I say. If she is off the leash and runs ahead and I say "wait", she stops immediately. Although "wait" simply means "don't run too fast".
Or before I let her out the front door, I first see whether the street is clear and let her wait in the house. To make sure there are no cyclists or other dogs, especially her enemy from the neighborhood.

Yes, she is still a happy dog and is happy about everything.smiley9sp_hearticon2

Yep, she's one enlightened being.

That's exactly how they want us to live, it's a lesson we try to practice every day when we say we are learning to Be More Dog .
