She went to have her bandages changed and the wound checked and I told him about her going back downhill. Turns out she was running a fever (104) and there was some significant drainage. He wants to keep her for a day or two so he can do IV fluids and antibiotics. I almost insisted on bringing her home and giving antibiotic shots myself because she gets so stressed at the hospital, but I came to my senses and let him keep her.

Sorry to hear about this setback, I hope she feels better soon. I never wanted to leave Mag at the vet unless I had to either-but the IV fluids will do her a world of good.
Take the time to catch up on your sleep and errands so you are ready to get back to her recovery when she gets home- if you can that is with the rest of your pack, what a houseful!
Hang in there- hopefully with a day or two of fluids and anitbiotics Daisy will be back on the road to recovery.

I'm so sorry to hear about Daisy's setback. It's tough to leave them at the vets but you did the correct thing. She will be feeling tons better as soon as they get her temperature down. Sending lots of positive thoughts your way. Get some needed rest and keep us posted.
Fortis'Dad

Hope that Daisy feels better soon. The IV fluids and antibiotics will hopefully kick in and Daisy will be home before you know it. I know how hard it is to leave your puppy behind at the hospital but as everyone has said, take the time to catch up on your rest too. Sounds like she's in good hands. Keeping our paws crossed for Daisy .
Kami (Mackenzie's Mom)
My sweet golden Mackenzie. She became my angel on Dec 29, 2010 at the age of 8 1/2 although she was always my angel from the time we brought her home. She was diagnosed with osteosarcoma in Sept 2009 and officially became a tripawd (front leg) on Nov 5, 2009. She will be forever in my heart and now she's running free with all of our other tripawd heroes. I love you Mackenzie!
We'll keep all fingers and paws crossed that Daisy feels better really soon! Sending lots of pawsitive thoughts and plenty of hugs to both of you.
Holly, Zuzu and Susan

Trying to get to bed, 4:30AM comes really early, but had to reply to this one.
Sending you and Daisy tons of good thoughts. Daisy is in the best possible place right now. That fever needs to come down and the anitbiotics need to have time to attack the infection. As you've already been told, please get some rest and try to relax while you have the opportunity. Recovery is still ahead of you when she gets home.
