Does anyone know anything about these Farabloc Blankets? I don't know if this could be related or not, but I read that it's supposed to block radiation from EMF fields. My dad lives in an apartment building on the first floor, and right on the other side of his bedroom wall is the control center for all of the gas and electric for each apartment, there are also six smart meters on that wall, a mere feet  away from where he and Ivan live.

I didn't know too much about smart meters before, but it seems they emit EMF signals all day long, every minute actually. We did an EMF reading of the meters, it was insane! I continued research on these meters and it seems they are bad news all around. But, could this be affecting his nerves and his pain? I'm not sure, but I bet I'd get a strange look if I mentioned this to any of his Dr's.

Does anyone have experience with this, or have used the blanket before? I'm just so desperate at this point to make my baby feel better.

YES
Actually we just got a farabloc blanket for the exact same reason! Our electric company just put a smart meter on our home and Purrkins who is going on a year and half amputee started having phantom limb pain episodes after the smart meter was installed. That is the only thing that changed for Purrkins to just start having phatom limb episodes? Upon further research as you are doing, we ordered the blanket! We did discuss the EMF’s and the smart meter with our holistic Vet he also suspected it could be the cause!

We just received the blanket on Monday and Purrkins was immediately drawn to it out of the envelope! I didn’t even get it unfolded and he was on it! I experimented with it and moved the blanket just to see if he would follow it and YES he does!

Now he cant tell me how it feels but what other reason would a cat be on a material that is not cat material (soft and fuzzy) Purrkins is getting something out of it he has been on it more then off of it since it arrived! That’s all I can tell you since its only been 72 hours.
If you can swing it I wouldn’t hesitate.

I do think you need a second opinion on the surgery I can see how that would be a issue & very likely more nerve issues ! Ivan having osteo I would of wanted the entire leg to go! I am so sorry Ivan & you and your Dad are going thru this!

I hope the surgeon has some answers for you.

I feel so bad for Ivan and you guys.  The journey through amputation and cancer is hard enough when everything goes right.

Keep us posted on what the new surgeon says.

omg THANK YOU!

So many people act like I'm nuts when I try to bring this topic up, but it's a serious problem.

What a gorgeous kitty <3

I am ordering him a blanket to be safe when we have some extra funds. His phantom pain seems to be ending now, I'm going to post an update in this thread in a minute.

A friend of mine also said that we should be "grounding" our pets. That there nerves and adrenaline may be all worked up and that the energy needs somewhere to go (in the ground). That made sense to me because Ivan hadn't been out in the dirt since his surgery. Once we started taking him back in the woods, he had less episodes each day, and finally, no more for the last three days. But because I can't cover all six smart meters, I will be getting him the blanket even though he seems to be feeling better.

Besides the farabloc my friend also suggested I get him a grounding blanket. I read about it and to me, it makes sense. I'm more open minded to things the Dr. may not know about, especially when nothing they are doing is helping.

If you go on you tube there are lots of tutorials on how to build little faraday cages for your smart meter. People made them, then did an EMF reading and dramatically reduced the emf signal. All it takes is some copper wire and metal screening. I wish I can do this in my dads apt building, but perhaps you can do it if you live in a home and are dealing with one meter. These affect human health too.

Thanks so much for your input. Now I know I am not crazy for thinking that! 🙂 heartheart

Hey guys just wanted to give a quick update.

So, our nightmare is FINALLY ending! Ivan just had his third spasm free night and day. We took him to a new vet, they couldn't figure out what was wrong when they examined him. We decided to switch him to amantadine and a fentanyl patch. That seemed to have did the trick, and though the fentanyl patch comes off now, I think we may be in the clear. Dr's think he was having bad phantom limb pain. He should have started gabapentin the day before surgery, he started a week after since we were dealing with a vet that didn't know what he was doing. His stitches are also out, his wound has healed and his fur already grew over it.

It seemed what he really needed was grounding in the soil and for his life to be back the way it was. Once he was allowed back in the park to dig his holes, his whole demeanor changed and he came back to life. He's even playing with my other dog Nikolay, and we are so happy.

Now we are going to decide what to do about chemotherapy. We have a grant pending, so if we get the grant we will do the first round and seeing how he acts. His prognosis with chemo is up to a year. I'm not jazzed about taking him to the vet every three weeks, but at the end of the day that is my dads choice and he wants to do it. He's already been to the vet once a week since the beginning of November.

I bought him a new supplement called canna-pet, and I'm gonna start giving him that instead of the apocaps . I also got him a tumeric and curcumin supplement, and he's on glyco flex plus for his joints.

At this point I can happily say that Ivan is a two month osteosarcoma SURVIVOR! A stubborn pyreness whose agenda does not include dying any time soon. I just love him.

Thank you everyone for your help and for reaching out. I can't tell you how helpful and comforting it has been to have you all to turn to and know that I'm not alone in this. I'll post an update once we figure out his chemotherapy protocol.

Here is a photo of him with my other dog, Nikolay. Niko was adopted as a tripod in September from the Soi Dog Foundation. He has no trouble getting around at all. Sometimes I forget he has three legs. I love my three legged family heartheartheart

Awe thank you 🙂

He was really happy to get back to his routine. If any pain comes back, I'll turn to the EMF signals and see if they are affecting him first. We are starting to lower his pain medications now, slowly weaning him off.

Thank you again so much for keeping us in your thoughts, Happy New Year!

Thank you! heart

Sebastien's spirit has definitely been in my heart this whole time.

They were so happy to be in the park. I have videos of them playing too. It's been bitter cold here in Pa, and all Ivan wants to do is be outside, brrr. But we alternate so that he gets what he needs.

Sending hugs back, have a happy new year! heartheart

Yes, it is a blistering 12 degrees right now here in R.I. lol, got single digits coming tonight and tomorrow night when we fly out. Kentucky is going to feel like a tropical vacation laughing

Will be home in time for NYE, I think I see a fire in the fireplace in the not too distant future. Missing my babies something fierce right now, looking forward to cuddling up on the couch with them.

Please give Ivan a snuggle for me heart

So happy everyone here is so open minded, with the best interest of our dogs being the only concern. It's been a rough road, but now we can focus on Ivan, and what to do next about his cancer. We will continue with making sure he's grounded every day, because that's what he wants and he shows us that. He will stand by the door and whine, then when we take him out he just wants to sit in the grass. A bit of a struggle right now as it's been 25 or below every day so far, but we manage.

All of you have been such a blessing, I wish I could personally hug each and every one of you all <3

Thank you, and have a great new year! 🙂

Hey!

Thanks for reaching out, I had been meaning to post an update, I just lost track of things.

Ivan is doing SO MUCH BETTER! I can't believe it, we have our dog back! No pain, no spasms, he's eating well, sleeping, going on all his regular walks and barking at everything as per usual. Even with three legs, he tries to mount our dog Nikolay constantly, it's a struggle but they're working it out.

His oncologist still wants him to go through chemo rounds, but it's too expensive so we are waiting to see if we receive this grant that is still pending. He's due for a chest X-ray to see what is up with the little speck on his lung, but it really just all comes down to money. So hopefully I can get that X-Ray for him in the next couple weeks as his oncologist would like to take a peek.

At this point though, he's living/surviving with Osteo for almost three months now, so that makes me happy. I have him on a few supplements and a whole food diet. The Canna-Pet really gave him his appetite back, and he's finally putting on some weight now.

He does get tired and sometimes walks are cut short, but that's to be expected. He's still in great spirits though. He loves the winter, snow and cold. The colder it is, the happier he is. He was so depressed during his two week healing time, I thought we'd never see our Ivan be himself again, but luckily that has passed. He's off all pain medicine too! Which is awesome 🙂

Other than that we are just living our lives like normal again, and waiting to see if we can get the grant money to start chemotherapy. Either way he'll remain on all of his supplements and CBD.

Here's a photo from last week with his little brother, Nikolay. Our little three legged family is so cute, we get a lot of sympathetic looks form passers by, but I'm used to it by now.

Thanks so much for checking in, I really appreciate it. I'll let everyone know about the chemo as soon as I know!

Beautiful boys! Really glad to hear life is good and Ivan has overcome all of the previous issues. Good job at staying pawsitive and researching all your options.

I hope you don't mind but I'm putting this in our gallery, it's such a great photo!

Love to you and the doggies. heart
