I've been torn about what to do next for Lexie, who has a pretty advanced case, including lung mets. Anyone want to chime in with their experiences with Chinese herbs? I wish I could find a knowledgeable doctor and herbal specialist who would do a phone consult with me...kind of like a Dr. Loops but for Chinese herbal remedies.
Lexie has an advanced STS with lung mets already present (biopsy update post here). Herbs that sound interesting include:
Artemisinin – when cancer cells kill themselves http://pathwith.....hemselves/
Good post --> http://nutritio.....temisinin/
Xue Fu Zhu Yu Tang – supporting the lungs against cancer (noted as helpful for dealing with lung mets) http://pathwith.....st-cancer/
Si Miao San – slowing down cancer and inflammation; also noted good for Cushing’s http://pathwith.....lammation/
Any experiences, good or bad? Anyone want to share in terms of dosing regimens, costs, frequency of tests, vet visits, etc.? (I'm already a big fan of Yunnan Baiyo, btw.)
Any others I'm missing?
Advice or insights welcome...thanks in advance.
Deb and Angel Lexie* Diagnosed at age 13. Tried radiation first; wish we had amputated upon diagnosis (even with lung mets). Joined Club Tripawd April 2014 & Lexie loved life on 3 legs! Advice: Start physical therapy as soon as your vet clears it, especially hydrotherapy if available :-) See Lexie pics here.
