Just gave Muji, our Samoyed diagnosed with hermangiosarcoma, her first chlorambucil pill.

Really nervous about her getting sick like she did with doxy (we quit after that first chemo round).

Just curious if anyone out there had a dog do poorly on doxy but great on chlorambucil. The thought of making her really sick again, especially after she's been feeling SO good for a few weeks now, is making my stomach turn. 🙁

This one should go pretty well. Doxo is a really harsh drug (see: Cisplatin and Doxorubicin Side Effects in Dogs), no wonder she wasn't feeling well. We have our paws crossed things go great, keep us posted!

Thanks SO much for the words of encouragement! REALLY appreciate it.  So far, so good (yes I know it's early - but I've got my fingers crossed).

Our story: Broke rear leg in June 2013 - non-conclusive results for cancer so leg was plated and pinned. Enlarged spleen in September 2013 and had it removed and was diagnosed with Hemangiosarcoma and started chemotherapy. Became a Tripawd January 8th, 2014 and definitive Hemangiosarcoma diagnosis. Three major surgeries in 7 months and Shelby took them all like a champ only to lose her battle to cancer in her brain. We had 8 amazing extra months together and no regrets. #shelbystrong #loveofmylife
