We said goodbye to Annie at home on Saturday. Despite the tragic circumstances, her passing was as peaceful as we could have hoped. She went outside when the vet arrived and greeted her with wagging tail. Her "grandpawrents" also came over to visit in the morning which made her so happy. At the end we all got on the floor with her and gave her kisses as she relaxed on her favorite bed.

I am happy for you that Annie had a peaceful passing to the 🌈 bridge! It helps our memories stay sweet!

During the past few days I have gone through all our photos and collected as many as I could of Annie, and some of her with her sister too. This has helped so much, to focus on the love and on her happy years with us. We brought her and Haylee home on 17 Nov 2012 and she left us on 19 May 2018 - almost exactly 5.5 years. Half of the time we lived in Seattle and the latter half in Baltimore. Here's our photo tribute to amazing Annie, aka the Poker, poker face, "face," pupoose, Annie-foo, Annie-fannie.

I love these pictures! You didn’t tell us that Annie was also an acrobat and could stand on a stool like an elephant! What a very precious girl your Annie was and always shall be! I love that her furmily and people will be together in snapshots of time for always!

Much love to you and very special spirit kisses to Annie

Hi sweet friend 🌸

I am so sorry you had to let Annie go 😔

Time had come for her to get her beautiful silver wings, she was ready to fly, pain free and happy 🦋🦋🦋 and she had all of her loving humans holding her paw 🐾 and giving her kisses 💕

Annie is happy now, you can be sure of that.

She was so, so loved and had a deliriously happy life with her family, your photo album is proof of that.

Those are truly amazing pictures!

Annie is right next to you, she only changed form 🌟 but your bond is intact and will last forever, you can be sure of that.

Sending you a big bear hug and slobbery kisses from Angel Annie and Angel Eurydice 😘💕🌟🦋🌟🐮💕

Eurydice 77kg/170lb Great Dane limping end of April 2016, amputation (right front leg/osteosarcoma) 4 May 2016 6 courses of carboplatin followed by metronomic therapy, lung mets found 30 Nov 2016. 3 courses of doxorubicin, PET scan 26 Jan 2017 showed more mets so stopped chemo. Holistic route April 2017. Lung X-ray 5 May 2017 showed several tennis ball size mets, started cortisone and diuretics. Miss Cow earned her XXL silver wings 12 June 2017, 13 months and 1 week after amputation and 6 1/2 months after lung mets, she was the goofiest dawg ever and is now happily flying from cloud to cloud woof woofing away :-)

We know your heart still hurts ad the waves of grief hit you like s ton of bricks..

We also know that every single photo shows a happy , joyful dog who was so beautifully  loved and cared for every momemt of her earthly life.

Yes, we humans  feel like Annie got the short end of the stick, but Annie doesn't!   If it meant she got to live a few extra years, but not with you as her family, she would chose you over and over and  over!!

In fact she's  been bragging non-stop at the Bridge that she had THE BEST TIME EVVVVER with you.  Amd then she pulls out the photo album as extra proof of her joyous  earth time!

We are  so privileged  to get to know Annie further through your beautiful  album.  You did an excellent  job of caputuring the essence of her beautiful  Soul and and delightful  Spirit.  Aich a happy well loved dog.

Thank you for letting us join in on celebrating the lovely Annie and all her wonderfulness!  She will ALWAYS be remembered  here.

With love,

Sally and My Chunky Spiritual Being Happy Hannah and Merry Myrtle and Frankie too

Happy Hannah had a glorious additional bonus time of over one yr & two months after amp for osteo! She made me laugh everyday! Joined April's Angels after send off meal of steak, ice cream, M&Ms & deer poop!
