Thanks, Michelle.  I may need to do that if it continues.

Liberty (Libby) was diagnosed with OSA on 1-22-13.  Right front amputation on 1-31-13. No IV Chemo. Metronomic Therapy started 2-19-13 along with supplements and some home cooking. Lungs clear until 1-06-14.  She's still her happy, hoppy, bossy self.  Living the dog life to the fullest and a proud Winter Warrior. :) RIP my Libby 4-21-03 to 3-19-14

Sammie is doing the fat roach out in the sun!!! She is totally gorgeous.

Libby's baby picture is just too adorable.

Now Libby, you just quit scaring your Mama. We are watching you.

Kathi nd Murphy

Murphy is a five year old Lab/Chessie cross. He was hit by a car on 10/29/12 and became a Tripawd on 11/24/12. On 2/5/13, he had a total hip replacement on his remaining back leg. He has absolutely no idea that he has only three legs!

UPDATE: Murphy lived his life to the fullest, right up until an aggressive bone lesion took him across the Rainbow Bridge on April 9, 2015 and he gained his membership in the April Angels. Run free, my love. You deserve it!

WHOA!! Hold up!! Now, don't be offended when I say I'm chuckling over here, okah??

But Deer poop as a breath freshener?? I love that!! And "Be More Sally"? I'm flattered and LMAO at the same time!! I'm thrilled that yoj think I've been so pawsitive, etc. But clearly you've missed some of my "blubbering, crimbled to the floor" posts!! And on those posts, when I kept saying how disappointed I wss that zi wasn't handlin the news better...how I thought I was better prepared...how I thought I would be able to "Be More Dog "...and I wss failing miserably. I wanted to be more brave, and I wasn't. I wanted to "handle it quietly", and I couldn't.

And then the kind souls here, pulled me back from the edge yet again. They remineded me I WAS human after sll!! Surprised the heck out of mez!! And that it IS NORMAL to react this way when you're hit in the gut like this!!

So, to Be More Salky (sorry, still LLMAO on that one).....stay connected here...do NOT go this alone...when you get scared, post, post like crazy...let us help you...you've helped us, let us help you. The power of love from this commnity will pull you through. The power of love and understanding from this community carry you through whatever challenges that may pop up. STAY CONNECTED!! DO NOT LET GO!! And then after you've cried, after you've nearly worried yourself sick...then...then you can step back into the moment with Libby where you belong. You can, realy!!

I kow you have to feel more empowered now after all the wonderful responses you've gotten. And know that yo ARE handling this with incredible courage and an incredible strength of character.

And know this to be true...LIBBY IS HAVING A BLAST AND FEELING GREAT,! Look at those pictures! NOTHING has changed in that dog's mind!
Yeah, "prognosis schmognosis"..-something like that!
Now, with this new found empowerment from the community, you CAN get back to being in the moment with Libby! Your love for Libby is so great and so powerful, you will not let fear and worry rob you of your time together!

One thing we've al learned on this journey...and Michelle said it so well on Tank's blog..."It never hppens the way they tell you it will happenz". So one "philosophyz", I've adopted...a cough is just a cough...a sneeze is just a sneeze...being tired is just aging. Because no two "symptons" are ever the same for each individual dog...some even show no sysmptons...some show every sympton in the world...but they ALL have some good quality time even with mets...some long god quality time and I refuse, ABSOLUTELY REFUSE to let this piece of crap disease try and make me worry and step out of the moment f being with my Happy Hannah! I know you won't let this piece of crap disease interfere with your time with Libby either! She sure isn't"! And I can stay empowered as long as I stay connected to everyo e here. So please give that gift to yourself.

Now, you have to keep posting more pictures of Sammie and Libby!! They are such charming dogs! Yeah, Sammie IS doing a roach!! And that sweet Libby is an ADORABLE puppy! MORE PHOTOS!!! When you have great subjects like these, we MUST have more photos!

Amy, your Libby...and I REALY feel this...is not going anywhere anytime soon!!! She is not havng ANY effects from this "diagnosis schmognosis" It means NOTHING t her. And now, it means NOTHING to her body!! She is feeling GREAT! Hanfg on girls nd Sammie, you've got a lot more livi g to do!!

Sending you so much love and...yeah...you guessed it...a box of chocolates!! A huge box!!

Sally and Happy Hannah

Love those pictures!  Sammie is a funny girl, huh?  And Libs, well, who doesn't love a good puppy pic?  She's precious!  Then AND now.

Good luck today.  You'll be on my mind.

ACL tear in right hind leg 12/5/12 and scheduled ACL repair surgery 12/21/12. Pre-op xrays revealed osteosarcoma. Amputation 12/28/12.  Chemo (carboplatin) started Jan 10, 2013 and ended on April 5, for a total of 5 doses. He handled carbo like a champ!  No side effects.  We started metronomic therapy at his third chemo and have been also doing some holistic treatments.  He's a lively, playful 10 year old huskie-boarder collie and a very proud member of the Winter Warriors!  Our love. EXACTLY!!!! That's what our onco said (basically) last night ... she told me to stop worrying about them and to look at how well and happy Shelby (and Libby too even though she doesn't know Libby) are doing!!!

Shelby Lynne; Jack Russell/Shiba Inu mix. Proud member of the April Angels of 2014.

October 15, 2000 to April 8, 2014

Our story: Broke rear leg in June 2013 - non-conclusive results for cancer so leg was plated and pinned. Enlarged spleen in September 2013 and had it removed and was diagnosed with Hemangiosarcoma and started chemotherapy. Became a Tripawd January 8th, 2014 and definitive Hemangiosarcoma diagnosis. Three major surgeries in 7 months and Shelby took them all like a champ only to lose her battle to cancer in her brain. We had 8 amazing extra months together and no regrets. #shelbystrong #loveofmylife

Thank you all, so much! You have lifted my spirits and in turn, I know I am lifting Libby's.  (insert heart icons here!)

I just brought her home from the ultrasound and she's bald again!  All her hair grew back from the amp and now all her tummy hair has been shaved.  It looks like the same pattern as her amp, only it's her undercarriage. :) We'll see how long she lays in the snow now, ha.

Dropping her off this morning was so tough.  I like to think I am a strong advocate for her...I speak up at the vets,I push for things I want to try and I ask lots of questions.  So I ask myself why am I a puddle of mush when I drop her off.  I tried so hard to fight back tears this morning and get my point across that I didn't want her to spend one more minute there than was absolutely necessary because she needs to spend whatever time she has, being happy and not scared and nervous. My hubby was there so he was able to finish my sentences and save me!

They called me to get her about 45 minutes earlier than expected so I was happy about that.  As far as Libby knew, I never left the waiting room. :)

My vet should have the report in a few hours.

Hugs and love to my tripawd family,

Amy & Libby

THANK YOU THANK YOU for updating so quickly.  You've really been on my mind today.  My breath will be held a little longer until her results are in...

I hear ya, Amy.  When the vet isn't a place our dogs want to be, continuing to bring them back makes for ugly feelings.  They seem to ask us "WHY?!"  And we can't explain.  Then to have to leave them there, with smells, noises, cold floors, uncomfortable positions and procedures... it's a crappy thing.  I'm so glad your hubby was there to help finish sentences and I do hope they called you the moment she was done and ready to go home.  45min sounds like it.

Now, it's rest up time.  Let's all forget about the morning and her shaved tummy.  It's time for her to eat some lunch!  Maybe a few cuddles with mom and dad?  Maybe a few trips outside in the snow - if her tummy doesn't get too chilly!  Heck, maybe she'll like that?

I'm so glad it's over.  HUGS

Amy you are a GREAT advocate! Never forget that.

I'm glad the ordeal is over, I totally get how stressful it is to be back there again. I'm just glad she's with you again. We have our paws, tails & fingers crossed for good news. We'll be waiting to hear back!

Now, if only we could get that fur to grow back quickly! Good thing the worst of winter is behind us.

I'm glad it's over too, Katy, thank you!  I had to push the images of her waiting in a cage, out of my mind.

Eating was the first thing on her mind when we returned home.  She scarfed it. Sammie watched her eat and I swear I heard her say "WTH?"  😀

Libby's resting comfortably in her favorite spot on the kitchen floor. Ahhhh...all is well in the house, once again.

Amy,

Of course you were a puddle of mush today! No matter how strong we are, when our babies are sick and we are worried we fall apart. The fact that you can keep your thoughts in order (even if you can't get the words out :-) ) shows how strong you are! You should try my trick...I bring a list and give a copy to the vet, that way if I fall apart they can read it -:).

We're all sending positive thoughts and waiting for an update!

Hugs,
Carol
