Many patients have told me that they are motivated to fight their illness because “if Spanky can be happy-go-lucky and so well adjusted after everything he has been thru…then I can get thru anything too!”
We are also in training to become a Dog Therapy Team for hospice patients. So far so good, we love seeing the smiles on patient's faces when they see Spanky hopping toward them!
He is 55 pounds now and still growing! I have never seen a dog with so many muscles! I have to say that I am a little biased, but I think he is incredibly handsome and a lady killer!
We are having a birthday party to celebrate his 1st birthday and how far he has come post-amp….and let me tell you that it is moving how many people want to attend his party! It's overwhelming the amount of people's lives he has touched, I am humbled.
I feel so blessed to have him in our lives and I want everyone to believe in their hearts that tripawds can overcome ANYTHING! They have a resiliant spirit and an appreciation for life that I cannot help but admire.
Our love to everyone who is lucky enough to share their journey in life with a tripawd! Wishing you a pup-tastic day!

Way to go! Sounds like Spanky has a mission to fulfill and he's doing it well. Keep up the good work.
Let us know when the birthday party is and keep the chat room open so everyone can join in for virtual cake and tail wagging.

Oh Spanky, congratulations on reaching such a huge milestone! I can't believe it's already been six months.
We are so hoppy you are out there spreading the word about the awesomeness of Tripawds! Thanks for being such a cool ambassador for three legged dogs everywhere.
Good luck on the therapy dog gig. I used to be one, and really enjoyed it. I know you will too!
Have a wonderful first birthday, you little pup you, and keep on truckin'.
