Hi all,
I posted on Captain Jack's forum and don't want to take away from their experience so I have started a new
thread for advice.
I was able to bring Morgan home the same day of surgery ( I am a nurse so can care for the wound) but he
does not want to walk or eat much.
He finally ate dinner last night and drank some water...walked a little bit and than vommitted most of his dinner at
2 am and the rest at 7 am....
he was on a lot of pain meds before surgery and I am worried about bowel issues due to not moving or eating....
A friend mentioned a recovery program but I was not given such a thing...
Has anyone had similar experiences?? Any advice will be much appreciated.
He seems happy when he stands - wagging his tail and smiling...but I have to bribe him with treats to walk...
and I puchased a harness so I can at least get him up (70 lb German Shep mix).
Thanks in advance for any advice....
Mel, Morgan and Maudie
