We're 2.5 days in and everything is going well, with the exception of him falling last night 🙁 Absolutely brutal. He will not be off leash anywhere, inside or out. He's getting around well and is super food motivated (per his usual self). He's peed 4 x and 
twice since coming home Thurs afternoon, so super grateful for that.
I do have a question, knowing I'm not asking a vet but I'm giving him 2 full doses, 75mg of Carprofen, 1 every 12 hours but I'm also giving him a half dose mid-day/evening. Just making sure I'm not going to OD him? He's 69lbs. Also keeping on top of the Tramadol and Gabapentin 3x a day. He also seems to be in good spirits, very engaged and as awesome and amazing as ever. I know the nerve blocker will be wearing off soon but feel dialed into his pain and icing routine.
Thank God for an open floor plan. I haven't left my living room but twice since Thrus - good thing my couch is super comfy 🙂

PS - they were able to remove both lymph nodes, which was good news.
Ouch poor guy! How did he fall? On a slippery floor? How is he doing now? I'm sorry that happened.
What are your vet's instructions for the Carprofen? That does sound kind of high. Usually it's only once daily. Double check the directions for that. The other two sound good, every 8 hours is usually ideal. What's the dosage for the Gaba?
That's really really good he's feeling great so far and all systems are working! Awesome!
And yay on getting those lousy lymphs out!
All good here - he's not showing any signs of pain and has every day, sometimes 2x a day, so super happy about that.
I'm not 100% sure how he fell, but pretty sure it was the floor. Took my eye off him for a second, which isn't happening again. His stiches/incision site look good.
I did read thru the med instructions again and the Carprofen is 2x a day 12 hours apart. I'm following the instructions to a tee.
Hopefully things continue down this path - not saying it hasn't been stressful but grateful it isn't as stressful as it could be.

Wow Tucker is a total rock star. He is making really great progress.
It's normal for many dogs to slip and fall during those first few weeks. As long as you do your best to minimize the risk by adding traction , he should be OK.
Ok so if those are the instructions for the Carprofen, definitely stick to them. It sounds like your vet wants to spread out the dosage for the day, which makes sense. Watch for GI issues like dark stools and if that happens definitely let them know. Odds are it'll be just fine.
We are keeping our paws crossed for more uneventful recovery days!

Eating? Mobile?? Peeing? Pooping?? Tucker is doing soooo well!! As Jerry said, face plants happen but they eventually become less and less frequent.
It's still very early on, so there may still be a bit of a roller coaster ride, may not.
You are doing an excellent job of monitoring Tucker. Make sure you take care of you too, okay?
