Yesterday was a month from Cora's surgery and she's been with me for 3 weeks now. She was gumpy all day yesterday so today I've kept things really mellow for her. She's been out and about in the world a lot lately and needs some rest. She's  been to work, my friends house and puppy play time. Today, she got a bath which she pretty much seemed to enjoy.

On Sunday, she was walking better than I've ever seen her and then she seemed to backslide but I suppose it's all a process. I have moments when I fear that she's never really going to master walking. If that happens, which is probably unlikely we will get a cart. She has no troubles pushing with her back legs.

Today I will celebrate the fact plays more and she's quieter.

Happy one month ampuversary!!! Enjoy every second of the day! Yeaaaaa Coraclap

Our beautiful Lily was diagnosed with osteosarcoma in her front leg on 12/14/11 at age 8 and had amp on 12/16/11. She completed 5 rounds of carbo. She was so brave and kicked cancer's butt daily! She lived life fully for 4 years, 3 months, and 15 days after her amp. My angel is a warrior princess. I miss her so much.

Yey!  Happy 1 month, Cora!  You are so cute!  Keep on fighting and working hard.  Your momma (and all of us are) is so proud of you!

ACL tear in right hind leg 12/5/12 and scheduled ACL repair surgery 12/21/12. Pre-op xrays revealed osteosarcoma. Amputation 12/28/12.  Chemo (carboplatin) started Jan 10, 2013 and ended on April 5, for a total of 5 doses. He handled carbo like a champ!  No side effects.  We started metronomic therapy at his third chemo and have been also doing some holistic treatments.  He's a lively, playful 10 year old huskie-boarder collie and a very proud member of the Winter Warriors!  Our love. Our funny little guy!

What a cutie!  Happy ampuversary Cora (cute name)!

Liberty (Libby) was diagnosed with OSA on 1-22-13.  Right front amputation on 1-31-13. No IV Chemo. Metronomic Therapy started 2-19-13 along with supplements and some home cooking. Lungs clear until 1-06-14.  She's still her happy, hoppy, bossy self.  Living the dog life to the fullest and a proud Winter Warrior. :) RIP my Libby 4-21-03 to 3-19-14

Great job Cora !!!!!  You hit the big one month anniversary.  I am so proud of you.  I love your picture.  You are a little darling.  Sending you a big hug and a kiss.

Happy 1 month! She's such a cutie. And, yes, it's a process. There will be days where you do too much and she needs a down day or two. She'll get the hang of it.

Keep us posted,
Jackie, Angel Abby's mom

Abby: Aug 1, 2009 – Jan 10, 2012. Our beautiful rescue pup lived LARGE with osteosarcoma for 15 months – half her way-too-short life. I think our "halflistic" approach (mixing traditional meds + supplements) helped her thrive. (PM me for details. I'm happy to help.) She had lung mets for over a year. They took her from us in the end, but they cannot take her spirit! She will live forever in our hearts. She loved the beach and giving kisses and going to In-N-Out for a Flying Dutchman.
