Hello! I'm the foster Mom to a tri-paw and we are looking to either foster him long term till he's healthy, or adopt him (it depends on our other kids...
But anyway, we were looking to get hime some health insurance to help with some of his costs, but every company we've looked into wont cover anything to do with his leg including his spine, and other joints! Does anyone have any advice?
Thank you so much! We are all VERY new to this... He's only about 3 weeks post amputation... And we are pretty much figuring it out on our own

We actually bought pet insurance 7 months before Lily's osteo. I absolutely love the company we chose. I compared all of them online and I felt that Healthy Paws offered the best coverage. They pay 90% of expenses (other than charge for office visit). Plus, they are wonderful!! Claims have been processed the same day they are submitted. They also call every once in awhile to check on Lily. I couldn't be more impressed. Just wanted to pass this on.
Our beautiful Lily was diagnosed with osteosarcoma in her front leg on 12/14/11 at age 8 and had amp on 12/16/11. She completed 5 rounds of carbo. She was so brave and kicked cancer's butt daily! She lived life fully for 4 years, 3 months, and 15 days after her amp. My angel is a warrior princess. I miss her so much.
