I was recommended to this page and see if maybe someone here may know or can help me.
Heres my CL post link below.
If airlines cant fly my dog Im wondering if anyone is driving out from Alaska soon to the states that may have room for my Senior Tripod and help me get him to San Fernando, CA.
Right now I have 3 volunteers to possibly fly with him to either Seattle, San Francisco or Sacramento....So we are looking for the connection from these 3 location.
Seattle will be Aug 4
San Francisco Aug 8
Sacramento Aug 3

If Air Travel doesnt work we are looking for ground transportation Volunteer.

As stated in CL post hes been in a rescue in North Pole Alaska. My husband gave him to a neighbor while I was in CA caring for terminally ill mother. We decided on divorce and I flew up June 24th. I met with neighbors and Scotty was happy so I felt it was best for him. They then turned around a week later and sent him to pound. Fortunately he was rescued day before killed and I tracked him down.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much.

Welcome and good luck helping your pup get home! We have helped arrange transport before, but this is a long haul. We'll share it on the Tripawds Facebook page now and do whatever we can to help.

Although his trip will hopefully go down the coast, if he ends up near Montana I'll be glad to help out.

Spirit Shooter was a Miniature Australian Shepherd who was diagnosed with a MCT and had a LF amp 1/28/13 at 13-1/2 years old.

Shooter crossed the Bridge on 8/28/13, his 7 month ampuversary and two weeks from his 14th birthday.

His name is Scotty and hes 10yrs old.

We now have Transportation confirmed for Aug 7th from Fairbanks to San Francisco CA.

The volunteer reserved his flight, has the airline approved kennel and all the stuff for the trip :D

Arrival is at 8am. She can transport from SF to meat at her destination in Vacaville, CA.

Now is the second leg of the trip.

Transportation from Vacaville, CA to San Fernando, CA or near by.

We may have a driver to drive up and back to pick him up & deliver.

But if anyone knows of a way to do the transportaion from Vacaville rather than a round trip up there and back, I can help with gas.

In your heart, where I belong.

It's great news that much of Scotty's arrangements are in place! This is being shared all over FB so hopefully the rest will fall into place quite easily. I have been amazed and gratified to see the power of social media for helping with animal welfare. Scotty will benefit; you'll see! You've found yourself an amazing community here.

Im amazed also and thank you all so much! Words cant describe my appreciation.

The lady flying with Scotty has now offered to drive him closer since shes leaving Vacaville the next day to visit family near San Luis Obispo, CA. a town called Los Osos, CA.

If she can do that, I personally can drive up there to meet her and get him.

So keep us in your prayers, and thank you everyone smiley
