Casey is a sweet Golden who is being fostered by our friend and longtime supporter Carrie who lives in Riverside. He was recently hit by a car and when the owners found out his leg had to come off, they told the vet to put him down because they didn't want a three-legged dog. Grrr. Their loss right?

He is undergoing amputation surgery this weekend to remove his right rear leg and as soon as he's healed he will be ready for a forever home with people who deserve to have a dog in their life. Until then we hope you will help spread the word. He has a Facebook page, Casey's Golden Adventure.

Geez, I hope no one in that family who gave him away ever faces loss of a limb. Guess they would be "put down".
