What a great inspiring story and incredible journey! I can see why Miles would instantly capture your heart - he instantly captured all of our hearts. I'm so happy for you Dawn that you both found each other. I watched your video and the news story and it just brings tears to my eyes to see such a wonderful outcome...so so happy for you both!

My sweet golden Mackenzie. She became my angel on Dec 29, 2010 at the age of 8 1/2 although she was always my angel from the time we brought her home. She was diagnosed with osteosarcoma in Sept 2009 and officially became a tripawd (front leg) on Nov 5, 2009. She will be forever in my heart and now she's running free with all of our other tripawd heroes. I love you Mackenzie!
Thanks everyone! I have no idea how to submit to Today Show or whatever national program. Our heroes Jim and Rene did the press release… 🙂
Here's another video of our first hike together, for your enjoyment.
And now, for more updates on Miles daily life with me, I will be over on his new blog at: miles.tripawds.com

Hey Dawn
Am I out of date or what?!?
Totally missed this thread - all nine pages - but just read through nearly all of them. What a story!
So happy Mr. Miles Baggins (isn't that right? there was Bilbo, then Frodo and now Miles) found you. And glad many people along the journey learned what a great dog a tripawd can be.
I had to laugh at the many legs involved in his journey. The poor dog only has three and it sounded like 100 people wanted a leg of their very own! Now go ahead and take a leg, but don't you dare do anything to that darling tail!

Ha, ha, glad you are caught up now. 🙂 Are you still in Monterey and just that busy?
