“He was surrendered to a shelter by owners who apparently couldn't afford to take care of his broken leg. They said he had fallen off of a porch. I have no idea of any other details about his previous owners, etc.
The hospital I work at does some adoption/rescue for small dogs and got a call from the shelter so they took him. He had a horrible, splintery fracture so they decided to amputate. Ortho surgery would have been a long, expensive and difficult process because of growth plates, etc. He's only about 4 1/2 months old. So they were kind to donate the surgery. It's a small place and no one would be there over the weekend so one of the techs was going to stop a couple times a day to tend to him. I thought I'd have a heart and bring him to Rancho De Neek for some R&R. Well, as much R&R as a rat terrier will succomb to."

Hello,
I was wondering if you can give me any more information on this tripawd rat terrier? I have a 5 yr old rat terrier and 2 kitties. I have been looking for a tripawd special needs dog to love forever. I have been doing animal physical therapy for over 2 years. I have the patience and love to care for a special needs dog. please send me more information if this little boy is still available... Thank you!
