Jewels is available for adoption through Rescue Every Dog. Learn all about her from this petfinder biography.

She is an amazing, young dog who is waiting patiently for the perfect family to love her.

Thanks for posting. Sounds like Jewels might regain use of her leg if the right person adopts her and is dedicated to her rehab.

She looks so happy! big-grin Please keep us posted on her progress, and update this topic when she gets adopted.

LOL!! She is terribly happy and always on. That's such a doofy action shot of her!! I'm going to work this weekend on getting some new pictures and a video for her petfinder listing.

edit to add: We did some acupuncture and hydro-therapy early on, without results. The general concensus from all the vets I've talked to is that if she's going to regrow the nerve, it'll happen within the first 6 months and only time will tell. There's not much we can do to help it along other than keep her active and healthy. No problems there, she never stops moving. Hopefully that nerve wakes up soon and she can eventually walk on it again. It will be abnormal for that to happen though... but I'm still holding out hope.
