Adopt a three legged dog in Houston, TXImage Enlarger

Please help spread the word about Charlie, a friendly boy Tripawd in Houston, Texas. He just had his rear-leg amputation because of some leg injury difficulties that wouldn't heal, and is doing great as a Tripawd now.

Charlie is at the Houston SPCA, but isn't on their website yet because he isn't quite ready for adoption (but will be very soon).

If you or anyone you might know is looking for a special boy, please contact us and we'll connect you with his foster pawrents.

Thanks Rene & Jerry!  For anyone who might be interested in Charlie I have some additional info that may help you make the decision a little easier!  Charlie is about 6 months old & was found as a stray in Houston about 3 months ago with a broken leg.  We did everything we could to save his little leg, but unfortunately it just wasn't meant to be.  He lived with me as an SPCA foster for about 2.5 months & I wish I could have adopted him myself but circumstances wouldn't allow.  Yet, he is the sweetest, most balanced dog I've come across in a long time.  He's very laid back, learns very quickly, is great with children & loves to snuggle!  During the short time I had him, he was easily house-trained, learned to fetch & bring back, and to sit.  I started working with him on "speak" & "shake" but just didn't have enough time to follow through.  Everyone who has met him has agreed that he's a special guy & would be a great addition to any home.  If I can answer anything else about Charlie, I'll be more than happy to!
