Bender is located in Cincinnati, OH but transportation will be arranged for the right family!

Hi! My name is Bender and I am a spayed (female) black lab mix weighing in at about 40 pounds.  I am desperately seeking my forever home…..again.  I spent the last 7+ years taking care of and being cared for by my elderly owner until she got ill last year with progressive Alzheimer’s disease (and has since passed) and could no longer take care of me.  So for the last 5 months or so I have been living at Camp Bow Wow in Cincinnati where the wonderful staff has taken GREAT care of me and gives me lots of love and attention.

Recently, I thought my hope for a new home was about to be realized until my prospective owners noticed I was limping and took me to the doctor.  They discovered bone cancer in my leg and said they needed to amputate the leg. Obviously, this was not great news so my new family decided that they couldn't really handle this.

On 11-21-11, I successfully underwent surgery and feel like I have a new lease on life!  But now I need to find a foster home or a loving forever family, which I hope will be really soon.  I’m used to living in a loving home and need people to share my life with.  I love going on walks (did I mention how much I LOVE the park!), eating biscuits and dreaming of chasing cats ( I am more than a bit cat aggressive).  With my three good legs, I will be a great companion for a family or single person with no cats in the household.

Please consider opening your heart and home to a deserving dog; I promise I will not disappoint you.

Affectionately yours,

Bender

If you would like to be my forever family and want to meet me please submit your adoption application at http://www.resc.....ahart.org/

and we will contact you.  The application will put you in touch with Bender’s foster family so you can schedule a meeting.
