I tried to see if this topic had been posted before (thought it had), but couldn't find anything, so here goes.
Just recently I have started having trouble with this site on my iPad. I never seemed to have a problem before, but now it keeps going back and forth when I try to access a thread. Not sure if that makes sense, but that's the only way I can describe it. If I click on the latest unread post, I get to that post pretty quickly (just like it used to do), but then it sort of seizes up and goes back to the top of the page and I have to scroll down to the newest post manually. Sometimes the screen freezes briefly, too.
At first I thought it was the iPad, but this is the only site where I have this problem. None of the other forums I belong to do that. And when I access it from the laptop, everything works like it used to.
Any ideas?
Kathi and Murphy
Murphy is a five year old Lab/Chessie cross. He was hit by a car on 10/29/12 and became a Tripawd on 11/24/12. On 2/5/13, he had a total hip replacement on his remaining back leg. He has absolutely no idea that he has only three legs!
UPDATE: Murphy lived his life to the fullest, right up until an aggressive bone lesion took him across the Rainbow Bridge on April 9, 2015 and he gained his membership in the April Angels. Run free, my love. You deserve it!

How recently? If just the past week± it may be related to recent updates.
What version iPad? Can anypawdy else replicate these problems? We haven't noticed on our iPad 4, but will test further as soon as we can.

Not really.
Any ideas?
Have you tried clearing your cache? To do so:
- Quit the Safari app (Double-tap home button ans wipe Safari up.)
- Visit Settings -> Safari
- Click Clear History and Website Data
- Relaunch Safari
If this does not help, and/or we can replicate the behavior, we'll consult with the developers to investigate further.
Thanks for the heads up and sorry for the inconvenience!

Geez Kathi, I actually understand what your saying. I guess an ipad is m like a tavlet.....maybe? Anyway, I can go to a post and IT will shoot up to the too of the page and I scroll it back down....or sometimes it'll go back to the forum page and I have tonhit the topic agian. Sometimes it just wiggles up and down all on it's own and I have to wait for it settle down! And sometimes the screen gets bigger as if I tapped it to enlarge it....but I didn't and it'll stay stuck in big!
I think my tablet is getting ready to crash though.....but I do know what you mean about it doing what it wants to.
I'm gonna take this in to my BFF Bobby to check it out and to do all that safari stuff my BFF Admin Guy said to do.
I think itsq because we tablet and ipod people have those darn green robots running the show!!!
Happy Hannah had a glorious additional bonus time of over one yr & two months after amp for osteo! She made me laugh everyday! Joined April's Angels after send off meal of steak, ice cream, M&Ms & deer poop!
Mine has been doing that also. I kept blaming my iPad. Glad to know it is something much less expensive.

Green robots! Love it.
Everything you are describing is just what is happening here. Plus, the typing now has a big lag, so I am several words ahead of what is showing on the screen and I have to wait for it to catch up. It just started happening in the last week or so.
I am on an iPad 2, so it may just be behind the times.

Thanks for all the feedback, and sorry for any inconvenience. We will continue trying to replicate the issue and discuss this with developers of the SimplePress plugin that power these forums. The page does redirect, so at least it is more of a nuisance than a show-stopper!

UPDATE: We have reported this issue with the developers but just need to confirm one thing...
Anyone having this is issue is tapping the Last Post icon, Right? Clicking the topic title will redirect you to the top of the page. That is expected behavior. Tapping the small arrow, should take you to the most recent post in the thread, and stay there. That is what it does on the desktop, but reports indicate that the page scrolls back up on tablets.
Also, when did this start happening?Guess that's two things...

Last post is what doesn't work like it used to. I think it is around a week, give or take.
Thanks for looking into this for us.

I am thinking at least 2 weeks. Love the typing lag! I will type and just sit and watch my keys move all by themselves. Seems so slow to get anyplace also. Like I said, I thought my IPad was crashing. Lori and TY
