Admin and I sincerely apologize for the evilspammer who found a way to spam a lot of Tripawds members last night. This was a first in our history, and we are so sorry.
To fix this bug, Admin has made it so that from now on in order to use the Private Messaging system, a registered member must post in the Forums at least one time.
We have no idea how many people were affected. If you received any of the spam messages please disregard. It won’t happen again.
This user found away around our first post moderation tool to abuse the Private Messaging system. The spammer is gone, and measures have been taken to ensure it does not happen again.
We took immediate action to address the issue, but therefore have no way to tell exactly how many user accounts were targeted. As a result, PM notifications may be received, which will result in the message not being found in the recipient’s inbox.
If anyone receives the following PM notification, please disregard!

No, unless you were replying to the spam message, which has long since been deleted, as well as the spammer.
