For some reason, I can't use the controls for emoticons or any of the tool bar above the message section in the forums today. It happens whether I'm in compatibility view or not. When I click on any of the controls, it just brings me to the top of the page... That's weird...
Anyone else having the same problem? Is it my stupid computer, or is there something else going on behind the scenes?

Jake, 10yr old golden retriever (fractured his front right leg on 9/1, bone biopsy revealed osteosarcoma on 9/10, amputation on 9/17) and his family Marguerite, Jacques and Wolfie, 5yr old german shepherd and the newest addition to the family, Nala, a 7mth old Bengal mix kittie. Jake lost his battle on 11/9/2009, almost 8 weeks after his surgery. We will never forget our sweet golden angel… http://jakesjou.....ipawds.com ….. CANCER SUCKS!
Marguerite,
Let me both test your issues and post one of my own. Bold, Italic, Underline.

and
- numbering
Not sure if this is what you were getting at, but of the ones tested appear to work for me. Perhaps it is just having pitty on my present condition.
Yesterday, I wanted to respond to Max Dad's posting. Since is was long (I can relate to long postings), I wanted to use the "Quote" button from the very first posting, cut it down to the questions I wanted to address, and then proceed. I could not get the "Quote" button to work on that very first posting of the topic or thread. A window did open to allow me to post afer employing the "Quote" button, but the quote itself never appeared. It does appear to work every where else, but not on the #1 posting. Go figure?
Good Luck with that quirk.
Interesting... first time we've heard of such issues and can't replicate the issue here.
If you experienced the trouble in a specific topic, please provide a link. Otherwise I can only suggest you try clearing your browser cache and trying again. That will often help with many issues. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Obviously, the issue I was having about the very first posting did allow the usual "Quote" to function as expected here. I just returned to Max Dad's posting and it will still not work on the first posting. I waited for minutes yesterday because I felt that it may have been an issue with the length but it never showed up. Not sure if you sould spend much/any time if this never appears again. I can always do a work around if necessary for long first postings.

Thanks for the help testing the issue Margeurite had Bob!
FYI: When quoting longer posts, you often must click within the message box to get the quoted text to appear. And I have also resorted to cut-and-paste a couple times when the quote button fails to do its job on extra long posts.
We'll be perfoming an update to the forums soon, which will hopely squash any of these gremlins currently running around behind the scenes.

OK, so I've restarted my computer and am going to try everything again!
Here I'm going to bold the text... Now I'm going to link to Jake's Journey... Now I'm adding some emoticons!
OK, so they both worked now... Maybe restarting my computer did the trick! Yay!
Problem fixed... Must have just been my stuped IE and Vista causing problems... when I win the lottery... I'm buying a MAC!!!

Hooray for that ... just a hiccup! Probably memory related, thanks for the update.
