Also, always curious ... I love that you post our blogs on FB for us but always wondered how you chose the photo that accompanies the blog ... I always figured it was the first photo in the blog but like today on Jasper Lily's blog - the photo you selected (which I of course love) ... was further down. 🙂

Our story: Broke rear leg in June 2013 - non-conclusive results for cancer so leg was plated and pinned. Enlarged spleen in September 2013 and had it removed and was diagnosed with Hemangiosarcoma and started chemotherapy. Became a Tripawd January 8th, 2014 and definitive Hemangiosarcoma diagnosis. Three major surgeries in 7 months and Shelby took them all like a champ only to lose her battle to cancer in her brain. We had 8 amazing extra months together and no regrets. #shelbystrong #loveofmylife

using an IFTTT recipe—a social media tool that facilitates sharing. (There's no way we could manually keep up!)
The image selected is determined by the Facebook Opengraph algorithm. It should use the Featured Image if one is provided, if not it should use the first image in the post. But as you see, this may not always be the case.
If desired, bloggers using themes that support the Featured Image function (your does) should select a photo to use for social sharing, or in blog summary views when using excerpts.
Click: Set featured image -> Choose photo from Media Library -> Set as featured image

I noticed that is also said one of our members was spam. Heather aka Barret's mom when I installed the app on my blog that it said her posts from July 2013 were spam and they weren't. So I had uninstalled it because I didn't want it to make any of our members spam. I just didn't have time to post til now. Thanks Jim.

The Tripawds Foundation , however, cannot yet afford the $50/month "enterprise" licensing fee required for a network-wide activation key to protect all blogs. In the mean time, each user will need to register for a free Akismet account and enter the activation key here:

- Click "Get Activation Key"
- Select free option at akismet.com

Do we register for an account there? I clicked the get the key then it took me to place to sign in. Now I am not sure do we create our account or do we already have an account with them since our blogs are hosted by Webpress because it says sign in with our webpress account info? Yes, and you are not being a pain at all. Sorry for any misunderstanding.
- Visit your Blog Dashboard -> Settings -> Akismet
- Click "Get Activation Key" (You will be redirected to akismet.com)
- Select free "Basic" option (Slide price button to change amount.)
- Copy Key and enter it manually in your Blog Dashboard -> Settings -> Akismet

We have just activated one more level of spam protection on all blogs. It's hidden to users, and there are no settings to configure.
It is, however, a javascript thing, with a honeypot! So everypawdy is encouraged to please report any issues, especially on tavlets! And be sure to include a link to the blog, with any specific errors.

We have no control over if or how bloggers may decide to change their Discussion settings. By default, the first comment by a user any blog will required moderation and future comments will not after one has been approved.
Now, if this is now happening on blogs where a user has had comments approved before, this may be the result of getting trapped in the new honeypot. Moderation is much better than getting spammed or failure to post the comment, but please advise on problems persist...and yes, this could be a tavlet issue since there is a js requirement in them thar honeypots!
