What do I do when I see this:
20170414_171802.jpg exceeds the maximum upload size for this site
This is just a normal picture, like I've downloaded many times from dropbox; why won't it let me add it? Do I need more space?

Not exactly sure, we would need to see this in action.If you don't mind...
1. Please provide a link to the actual photo you are trying to upload (if it is in your Dropbox) or just email it to admin (at) tripawds dot com.
2. Send a PM (to Admin) with your Tripawds log-in credentials so we can log in as you to try and replicate the issue.
As a Tripawds Supporter , you blog has ample space. The maximum image file upload size is 2MB. We just successfully confirmed upload of a 450+KB image. So... we would love to see what's going on here.

I have used my little point & shoot Canon power shot before on the site and I was trying to upload my to my blog. I was using directly from my computer. I can send you my picture and you can try it. I have no problems. I did resize then was able to. But I kept the original on the card.
When I was looking at the properties of the picture it said it was 8.07 MB but I don't understand how that could have been because I didn't do anything different than before using this camera. Weird. I just resized and was able to use it. Not a big deal. My DSLR, I didn't have any problems with just this one. I haven't tried my phone.

Images larger than 2MB cannot be uploaded. It has always been that way, and anything larger than 100±KB (max) is unnecessary.

Ok, but something is going on though. I just did an experiment. I sent you a picture that is already on my blog. I know it came from this camera. I tried to upload the same picture and it told me it was too big??? Sent you my log in & password

That was the picture that is already on my blog. I tried to upload (explained in email) just posting here so people know what I replied as an experiment. It wasn't too big when I put it on my blog but it is now. So somethings have changed as far as parameters for uploading pictures and it they are too big (bigger than the 2mb) then we have to resize them now in order to upload on blogs.
