I cant believe there isn’t a topic on this today?!?!? Just me?!?!!?
I have been having trouble accessing the site yesterday evening around 8 pm. I kept getting different error’s . I changed browsers cleared cookies & cache.
My IP then was address is 74.199.35.175
I finally was able to get on and post . Then I tried again later in the evening & got the dreaded
I know there is hours it is not accesible but I forget what they are now.
I tired 3 am - 6:45 am then tired again at 10:45 AM all these were still saying the above Error establishing a database connection.
I used my phone and computer I used Safari & Firefox nothing would work.
My IP changed too when I was not home this morning, so it could not be a IP address thing? I have the other IP address noted too!
It's working fine now just thought I would mention it in case. you are not aware of the issues. I cannot believe it was just me

I had problems last night and this morning as well. It's working fine for me now though.
David and Rocky (and Baxter now too!)
Rocky had his right front leg amputated on Valentine's Day 2017 after being diagnosed with osteosarcoma.
He joined the September Saints on September 3, 2017.
He is the toughest, bravest, sweetest and best friend I'll ever know.

Nope, not just you, but thank you for mentioning it. There was no topic because none of us, not even Admin nor I, could get on. See, even we aren't immune to technical issues 🙂
We've been having server level issues. Not hacks, thankfully, just weird stuff that I can't begin to explain. The team of Admin and his Ultra Geeks have apparently gotten a handle on the problem, hopefully for good.
But if you see weird stuff like this again feel free to text us anytime at 707-845-3129 to let us know OK? You won't be bugging, we need to know these things. Thank you so much for taking time to post! xoxo

I do want to say that one thing worked really well and I'm appreciative of the way this forum works. I did get on and wrote a post and then the system crashed. When I finally got back on, I was dreading having to rewrite the whole post, find the photo links again, etc. But!!!!! A draft was saved. Thanks.

And yes, Gremlins crashed the database. All is good for now but we are still investigating the cause, so don't be too surprised about any temporary downtime.

Topher,.....Curious how "draft" was found. If I have a reply that doesn't get "sent" or "saved" due to crash or whstever.....it's gone! So how did you find it?

Sally, I am pretty confident blackdogcompanion is talking about writing a blog post in her blog! That is how it would be saved as a draft. They are not talking about posting comments on a blog and it now showing up! The only solution I have for that is type it on a document or screen shot before posting in case it doesn't submit or show up.

FYI if this happens when you're in the Forums, sometimes if you just hit the back button and "reply" after a system glitch, your old post may still be there.
As an aside, I've tried to get into the habit of "selecting all" of my forum or blog comment copy before I hit the Save or Submit button. That way if anything does crash I still have the copy on my clipboard.

"Select all" on where? The forums have no such feature.
FYI: Devices do. If you have a keyboard, typing "ctrl A" will select everything on a page, though I'm not certain that's exactly what you want to do. Hopefully the iPad video will help you with the tavlet.
