Tazzie here, although I did my best to avoiding reading this thread today,
Yes, I do see value in blogs and forums and I never said that I did not see value in blogging (but please let's not go down the twitter and facebook tripawds road, or have R & J already done that Oh crappola, I see Cherry and Jerry already did that. Two friends already lost and I have not even begun . . .
The original point of this thread was that I noticed people who were in desperate straits off in that upper right corner of the forum page, the blog corner. I travelled over to pull in a few of them, e.g, Shilo but not only Shilo. This week, due to time constraints - or is it a hardened heart - I do my best to ignore those lost souls but hope someone travels over to rescue them. Perhaps we should assign someone to that task - their plaint'ful plees are pretty obvious to see. There are usually at least a few newbies - facing a new diagnosis and amputation - in that position every few days. Just thought when they sign up to blog, they might see a guideline along the vein: "if you are looking for advice or discussion, go to this link (forums!)". But heck, before you blackball me, you know that I am awed by the electronic wizardly that goes into this site!
Night all, sleep well Shilo
p.s. Since I started this thread, can I put an end to it?

Consider this topic now locked, as I agree the points have been made for both blogging and forum participation and it is getting a bit off subject for the Technical Support forum. Thank you all for your input!
