I am still a bit of a dinosaur when it comes to computers and the internet so setting up my first blog was incredibly daunting!

I've left settings untouched but just wanted to know, in the Discussion Settings do people normally tick the box that says "Comment author must have a previously approved comment" or do they leave it blank?

Magnum: 30th May 2002 to 5th May 2012. Lost her back left leg to osteosarcoma on 5th Sep 2011. Lung mets found on 20th Mar 2012 but it was bone mets in the hip that ended her brave battle. Magnum's motto - "Dream as if you'll live for ever, live as if you'll die today" (James Dean). Loyal, loving, courageous and spirited to the end. My beloved heart dog, see her memoirs from Rainbow Bridge ...... http://princess.....pawds.com/

well...our two cents.... we ticked the box, so that a new poster had to be 'approved' for the first time.  this might help cut down on spam (although this system does an EXCELLENT job of weeding out spam).  once you've approved one of us, then we can 'post at will'.  hope this helps!!

Thanks.  That's what I've done. It seems to make sense. I was just worried about the delay in me approving posters. I guess there will be a delay to begin with but over time it will be ok as people become approved.
