How do I add an avatar?
Visit Your Forums Profile, and follow the links.
How To Upload Your Tripawds User Avatar*
- Click "Profile" button at top of any Forums page, or click your default avatar to visit your profile.
- Follow link at top to navigate to your Tripawds User Profile. (Do not click the "Edit Avatar" tab in your Forums Profile.)
- Scroll down to Avatar Settings, and click Change Avatar.
- Click Browse to upload image (jpg, png, or gif, larger than 200x200, smaller than 600kb)
- Click Upload.
- Crop and Save.

*Why so many steps? Uploading your avatar to your Tripawds User Profile will ensure it appears everywhere you comment or post throughout the Tripawds community—your blog posts, and your comments on other blogs, not just here in the Forums.

When I go to the change avatar page the only option I get is: "Select your avatar with your WordPress profile." If I click that link I'm taken to a page that says "You attempted to access the "Tripawds Blogs " dashboard, but you do not currently have privileges on this site. If you believe you should be able to access the "Tripawds Blogs " dashboard, please contact your network administrator.". What do I do now?

This is after I do step 3. I can not do step 4. There is no "Browse" to click only a link that says "Select your avatar with your WordPress profile." .

You do not upload your avatar from your Forums Profile, where you see this message. That's why the link is there. Follow that link and you will be redirected to your User Profile, where you will have the Browse button on your Edit Avatar page.
PS: We have edited the first reply above with more details and screenshots for clarification.

I need some help I think :(. I would like to change my avatar, but everytime I click the link at step 2, I got this notification:

These instructions were recently suggested by Wishbone's mom, they may help you upload an avatar photo if you are having trouble:
- go to "EDIT PROFILE"
- select "AVATAR"
- select "ADD" or "CHANGE" AVATAR
- select "UPLOAD NEW AVATAR"
- choose a photo jpg/gig/png file from your computer
- then select "ALTERNATIVE UPLOAD"

UPDATE DECEMBER 2024
Since the recent server migration, user and blog Avatars displayed throughout the Tripawds network are no longer working.
Sorry!
While we investigate a potential fix, user profile pictures in the forums will default to displaying Gravatar images if available. Your Gravatar is associated with your email address.
Create or change your Gravatar here.
Be sure to select the same email address used to register for Tripawds. Your user avatar will then automaticall update everywhere.
