Good morning, Mona is well rested and came to join me under the covers at 5:30. Okay, she was ready for the day, I wasn't.
Thank you to everyone here. It is a great forum full of spirit, life, love, understanding, information and encouragement. Here's one last photo of Mona helping me work:
Happy Tri-day
Mona! You are so darn cute!! Waking your momma up at 5:30 in the morning...OMC! I woukd be a little bit grumpy human! But when you are as cute as you are, you can get away with anything!!
Happy Tripawd Tuesday from a very sleepy Frankie Huckleberry Hound!
Frankie (a front legged tripawd) was found as a stray in North Carolina and turned over to a rescue group there. No one knows the reason for his amp. And his owners were never found.
I asopted him approximately six weeks ago and he "knew" he was safe in his forever home the second I brought him home.
This is a picture of him on Happy Hannah's chair the first night at home. I sit on the floor a lot now!
Love to all!
Sally and My Eternal Light Happy Hannah and Merry Myrtle and Frankie Huckleberry Hound!

Franklin, he was the Happiest Dog on Three Legs! Diagnosed 09/26/2012 with Osteosarcoma, amputated 12/4/2012. Had a wonderful 5 1/2 months painfree until he ran for the Bridge on 5/15/2013. Always in my heart, and always a guardian angel of my pack... You can follow his Tripawd Adventures, before and after, in my blog, Frank'n'Farter!
Mona you are sooooo sweet! Will you come to work with me?
Sally! I love Frankie's story but where is that photo?
Christtttttiiiiiiiiiiine! Oh my gosh, I know how much strength it took to share that video with us, and I'm honored you chose to do so today of all days. Thank you for giving us the honor of being there. What bittersweet memories. {{{{hugs}}} p.S. we are in awe that your pups would eat so slowly and gently, not many dogs would show such good manners!

Sally, what shelter was Frankie from? NC is where Daryl is from also. His was edge comb county. They have to be thinking, Toto we are not in Kansas anymore. We have a foot fo snow on the ground here. They probably never saw the stuff before. Fortunately, their owners more than make up for the yucky weather. Hugs, Lori, Ty, Chandler, Lucy & Daryl
TY GUY, Best Black Lab ever! Diagnosed and had amp in January, 2014. Kicked MRSA's butt. Earned his angel wings on April 16, 2014. Run Free my boy and don't forget a shoe. Ty is a proud member of the " April Angels". Ty sent us Daryl, a Tripawd rescue in Sept. of 2016. Daryl is 5 +or -. We are also Pawrents to Chandler, a Border Collie mix who is 15 and 1/2, Lucy, a Corgi who is 7, 2 minis, 2 horses, and a feisty cat named Zoe. Zoe had a non skeletal Osteosarcoma removed in July 2015. No Chemo, she was at least 16. She is going strong although she is now completely blind. She is now close to 20 and her hobbies are eating and sleeping in front of her personal heater.
Shelby (my angel in life and in spirit ) of course wanted to jump on the party wagon! I've seen her banner a lot today which doesn't surprise me since Shelby did LOVE to be the center of all attention! For those that don't / didn't know my Shelby's story, it started on a fateful day in June with a broken leg. I quickly found the Tripawds website but Shelby didn't join the club then. Her leg was fixed. But 6 months later, that bum leg had to go and this wonderful community welcomed us back and helped us through our journey. Shelby was only a Tripawd for 4 months but to her ... that was a lifetime ... filled with LOVE and HUGS and the best SNUGGLES out there.
Shelby taught me so much in her journey - and I continue to strive to be "more Shelby" and live each day to the fullest. It is in her memory and her honor I stay connected to this cyber-community. Shelby's legacy lives on with me and together, we are still a team ... team tripawds. Team "Be More Dog ".
alison with the spirit of shelby fur-ever in her heart (and little jasper too)
Shelby Lynne; Jack Russell/Shiba Inu mix. Proud member of the April Angels of 2014.
October 15, 2000 to April 8, 2014
Our story: Broke rear leg in June 2013 - non-conclusive results for cancer so leg was plated and pinned. Enlarged spleen in September 2013 and had it removed and was diagnosed with Hemangiosarcoma and started chemotherapy. Became a Tripawd January 8th, 2014 and definitive Hemangiosarcoma diagnosis. Three major surgeries in 7 months and Shelby took them all like a champ only to lose her battle to cancer in her brain. We had 8 amazing extra months together and no regrets. #shelbystrong #loveofmylife
I feel like this pic sums up our story here...the locket is the guy who brought us here. Though he never became a tripawd, he opened our eyes up to how amazingly strong animals are. After we lost him, we soon lost another furry friend, and another member here (Erica) wasted no time in finding us a tripawd of our own Within days, Bobby came into our lives, and we havent looked back since. This cat turned an extra large dog loving gal soft who knew. and the extra large dog back there loves him to pieces. My son thinks his cat is the coolest guy on the planet and wastes no time telling every stranger about his cat, Bob, who has 3 legs.

Lori and the fam
Jerry, that is THE finest "stuffy" in the land! Soooo cute!!
Yes Lori...that photo with the locket sys it all! One of my most favorite photos!
And Alison, you are doing a SPLENDID job of "being more Shelby"! She is sooo proud of you!
Christine...I am without words...the video says it all so lovingly.
Lori, Frankie is from Ruff Love Rescue. The only thing about his "rescue" is that bothers the heck out of me, is that his owner, who clearly loved him veey much to do an amputation (and he definitely was used ro living in a home), will never know what happened ro him. The sheer horror of worrying about a lost tripawd...cannot even phantom. I can only hope that somehow the Universe sends them a "knowing" that all is well with Frankie.
Oops! Here's his picture I was referring to in my post!
Happy Hannah had a glorious additional bonus time of over one yr & two months after amp for osteo! She made me laugh everyday! Joined April's Angels after send off meal of steak, ice cream, M&Ms & deer poop!
Hello all,
This wonderful community welcomed me on September 18, 2013.....and my world has been thoroughly enriched by the loving, caring and supportive people I have met here!
Tucker became a tripawd on September 18th after an invasive localized sarcoma returned with a "vengeance" after it was removed in April of that year.
Despite some worries, including mild hip dysplasia and arthritis in his spine, a caring surgeon agreed to perform the surgery on Tuck! With the help of Metacam and a wonderful rehab veterinarian, Tucker continues to thrive 17 months after his surgery and, as a Canadian tripawd, still loves the snow!
Hugs to all,
Linda and Tucker

And here is Murphy, an amazing Tripawd who survived being hit by a car and having eight surgeries including the amputation and a subsequent total hip replacement. He has been a hopping, walking miracle for over two years now, and he only gets stronger as he goes on...still waiting for next summer's beans.

Kathi and Murphy
Murphy is a five year old Lab/Chessie cross. He was hit by a car on 10/29/12 and became a Tripawd on 11/24/12. On 2/5/13, he had a total hip replacement on his remaining back leg. He has absolutely no idea that he has only three legs!
UPDATE: Murphy lived his life to the fullest, right up until an aggressive bone lesion took him across the Rainbow Bridge on April 9, 2015 and he gained his membership in the April Angels. Run free, my love. You deserve it!
Ohhhhh my gosh how you all made this such a special occasion! We are really loving these heartfelt stories, thanks for taking the time to share!
