Michelle and Alison, I just sent you a link to the spreadsheet we will be using in Google docs. There are a couple of addresses in there already. If you have questions you can comment (upper right of sheet) and we will all get an email (I think, I will at least). Or you can ask them here. So here is how I split up the states:

Don't freak out! It's not as bad as it looks
- I think Rene said this initial mailing will only be to about 200 recipients so if each of us can push to do 60 or 70 addresses to start with we will be good. Then we can add the rest as time allows. I plan on starting with the most Dr. heavy states and then work my way through the rest. Rene, can you give us a deadline of when you would like the first batch done?
- In the states with many onco vets there are alot of multiple vets at the same hospital or clinic and we will just pick one to send to.
- Also, some names on the list are vet techs or other folks and we won't send to them unless there is no onco vet listed for that clinic.
- In addition, there are some people listed that seem to be in research or maybe representing drug companies or labs--I would not include them unless Rene wants to.
- I would expect that the teaching hospitals etc on the separate list are all represented by at least one vet on that state's list but you should double check for each state.
I think the spreadsheet is self evident but let me know if you have any questions. Michelle, a Google sheet pretty much works like an Excel spreadsheet so if you have some familiarity with Excel you should be good to go. If not its still basically just a matter of entering the right data in the right field--easy peasy!

Yeah, I am familiar with Excel. Now we just enter them as we do them and it will adjust the spreadsheet when its saved? Also I agree unless you want the ones with the Research lets not enter them 🙂 It looks fine Martha you did a lot of work to divide & conquer

I have no idea what you girls are doing but it sounds GREAT!!!! ROCK ON!! Really! You have taken great initiative in getting these all important materials out! I bow down in awe!
And you girls have no idea what it's like to live in a comouter oriented techno language world...when you aren't! I'm thinking if I move to a Third World Country with my tavlet I'll be ahead of the curve!
Sooo back to dummying it down for me. I have spoken to three "contacts" to alert them we'll be sending the brochures. They were .more than willing to make sure they get displayed.
I go to this link. http://tripawds...../outreach/ to fill out a form with their addresses, etc. All I see is NAME......EMAIL.....MESSAGE.. Do I put their mailing address in the "message"? I guess NAME would be I.e. Dr. Anthony, Stonehenge Veterinary Hospital. You would need the contact name included so it doesn't get put aside, right?
Dr. A. did say to make sure they came to his attention as they get things in the mail all the time to display and a lot of things get dumped.
Which leads me back to the outstanding mailing undertaking you girls are doing. Is there anyway to insure these wil l be sent to someone's attn. who is in tne loop enough somehow to be on tne look out for them and make sure they get displayed? Am I making any sense?
I REALLY, REALLY am absolutely astounded by the "labor.of love" and enormous effort yoj girls are putting into getting the word out. What an amazing contribution of your time!!

Hey gals, I was offline yesterday so just now catching up.
This list is FABULOUS, thank you. In the future this list will be super handy to make follow up calls to see who wants more.
So the way the mailing is working is: we (Jim and myself) are sending 25 of each brochure and a cardboard brochure holder to the contacts we have on our list. Each will get a letter that either says who the brochures were requested by (for example, "Sally Holladay wanted to make sure your clinic has these for clients") and others will get a letter that explains who we are, why we are sending them and how to get more. Each will be sent the least expensive way, priority mail.
Make sense?
Thanks for your help with this, it's wonderful. Let's get those brochures moved outta here and into the hands of those who need them 🙂

Our story: Broke rear leg in June 2013 - non-conclusive results for cancer so leg was plated and pinned. Enlarged spleen in September 2013 and had it removed and was diagnosed with Hemangiosarcoma and started chemotherapy. Became a Tripawd January 8th, 2014 and definitive Hemangiosarcoma diagnosis. Three major surgeries in 7 months and Shelby took them all like a champ only to lose her battle to cancer in her brain. We had 8 amazing extra months together and no regrets. #shelbystrong #loveofmylife

Hey Michelle, be sure and add "referred by Sally Holladay" in the Notes column when you add hers. And, yes, if you could go back and add the websites that would probably be useful (but not critical).
A couple of other things--Don't worry about all those letters after a vet's name (DVM, DCVIM, etc.) We will just address to Dr. So and So.
Also, I am thinking we only need to add one contact when there are multiple vets at the same institution or clinic and that is what I have been doing since we will be sending only one set. Rene, do you have a preference on this??
