Sylvie:

Congrats on nine months!  We hope the additional Chemo takes care of those nasty spots on the X-rays.  All of us are very apprehensive when they take the photos.

Chuck & Rusty

Rusty is a Labradoodle who was diagnosed with level 3 Fibrosarcoma on January 16th, 2010 and had his left hind leg amputated on January 25th, 2010 five days before his 18 month birthday. Please see Rusty's blog @rusty.tripawds.com.  He is putting up one heck of a fight against this terrible disease.

To all of you who replied with such love and encouragement!  Miss Sylvie and her family are so lucky to have found this place, this world of tripawds where we can laugh laughing, and cry cry, and share silly stories clown about our way-too-clever pooches little-devil, confusion way-confusedtriumph winker, and hope!

Tomorrow we start the cyclophosphamide, and tonight we continue to celebrate life as usual with our goofy sheepdog - with home-cooked Mexican food, margaritas, and lots of pets and hugs (and maybe some of her siblings' liver training treats!)

Abby's mom, Jackie -  Thank you so much for the offer!  I'll talk with Sylvie's oncologist and find out what her plans are for the palladia.  If you can hang onto what you have through the next couple of days (until I'm able to check with Sylvia's doctor), I'll get back in touch with you (and provide the prescription).

Sylvia wants me to pass along how much she would love to give each and every one of you a giant sheepdog smooch (and give each and every one of your pooches and big butt sniff!! - -  Hey, I promised that I'd pass that along what-ever )

You all are the BEST!!

Sweet Silly Sylvie, the Old English Sheepdog

Diagnosed with osteosarcoma 11/04/2010 at almost 7 years of age * Left hind leg amputated 11/09/2010 * Chemo on 12/10, 12/17, 01/10, 01/31

Sweet Sylvie's earthly journey ended on Nov. 3, 2011, one day short of a year since her diagnosis and 6 days short of her one-year ampuversary.  Her family celebrates her life as a sheepdog – ever the puppy, ever silly, ever sweet – and are grateful for our 7 years together.
