Happy Hannah had a glorious additional bonus time of over one yr & two months after amp for osteo! She made me laugh everyday! Joined April's Angels after send off meal of steak, ice cream, M&Ms & deer poop!
Awe.... Sally.... you are such a loving and kind soul. It is rare to meet someone who loves unconditionally, without really knowing a person but has so much love and positive energy to give. thank you! We do mourn for those that we lost this year and celebrate the many, many joys they brought into our lives and everything happens for a reason ... Tripawds members have quickly become my new, extended family - even people I might never physically meet - can bring me more comfort than my friends down the street. Our bond, here, is like none other!
Love to you and Hannah (and I guess evil Barney too).

Our story: Broke rear leg in June 2013 - non-conclusive results for cancer so leg was plated and pinned. Enlarged spleen in September 2013 and had it removed and was diagnosed with Hemangiosarcoma and started chemotherapy. Became a Tripawd January 8th, 2014 and definitive Hemangiosarcoma diagnosis. Three major surgeries in 7 months and Shelby took them all like a champ only to lose her battle to cancer in her brain. We had 8 amazing extra months together and no regrets. #shelbystrong #loveofmylife
Thank you Sally you are wonderfully positive and inspiring
It's always nice to take a moment to remember all those who this disease has taken from us too soon. Thinking about all of them running around together with all the treats they can handle!
Cody and Family
Cody is our 7 year old Australian Heeler mix boy. Diagnosed on 2/20/14 and became a tripawd 2/21/14! We chose a homeopathic approach and he is being treated by Dr. Loops our of NC.
Thank you, Sally....if I didn't know better, that little light-colored dog figure next to Barney looks like Polly, and Jersey Girl, and even Leo from a several months ago.....they are all the Angel yellow Lab Tripawds I know that have gone over the Bridge since I have been on this wonderful support group. My personal heartache has actually been a bit lifted today....we uncovered some pics and videos of Polly, we thought were lost forever in a computer glitch a few years ago. Even a couple videos when she was just a few months old retrieving a ball toy that belonged to my Maggie, in our backyard......I just sat, watched, and cried happy and sad tears. Now I can actually, hopefully post some videos of her.
Love and much hugs.....
Bonnie & Angel Polly
Thank you, Sally. You are one special lady to give us this reminder of all our special angels.
Kathi and murphy
Murphy is a five year old Lab/Chessie cross. He was hit by a car on 10/29/12 and became a Tripawd on 11/24/12. On 2/5/13, he had a total hip replacement on his remaining back leg. He has absolutely no idea that he has only three legs!
UPDATE: Murphy lived his life to the fullest, right up until an aggressive bone lesion took him across the Rainbow Bridge on April 9, 2015 and he gained his membership in the April Angels. Run free, my love. You deserve it!
Sally,
You are such an awesome person. I wish I could be like you. Thanks Barney for lighting a candle in memory of those who have crossed the bridge this year.
Hugs

Sally, you are just precious!! That is so very sweet. Is that a picture of you. With Hannah? I love it! No matter what you are dealing with in your journey, you find the time to show us all you care. Some people just do not get it. It is or was just a dog ,they say. We each say no, it is or was MY Friend, family member, companion. I have e a friend that dog sits for me. She lost her Rottie Bear to Osteosarcoma this past summer. He was failing when she sat for me in July. She told me the story of my Ty Guy and Chandler crawling up into her lap when she got the call that her guy was not doing so well. That my friends is not " just a dog". Sally you said it best: each and every one of their lives mattered. Alison, I have to agree with you, both about Sally and the whole Tripaweds family. Lori and Ty
TY GUY, Best Black Lab ever! Diagnosed and had amp in January, 2014. Kicked MRSA's butt. Earned his angel wings on April 16, 2014. Run Free my boy and don't forget a shoe. Ty is a proud member of the " April Angels". Ty sent us Daryl, a Tripawd rescue in Sept. of 2016. Daryl is 5 +or -. We are also Pawrents to Chandler, a Border Collie mix who is 15 and 1/2, Lucy, a Corgi who is 7, 2 minis, 2 horses, and a feisty cat named Zoe. Zoe had a non skeletal Osteosarcoma removed in July 2015. No Chemo, she was at least 16. She is going strong although she is now completely blind. She is now close to 20 and her hobbies are eating and sleeping in front of her personal heater.
Oh this is so beautiful Sally, thank you so much for taking the time to hang out with Barney and honor our Tripawd warriors with such love and kindness, I can feel the love and warm light from here.
Your thoughtfulness and compassion is precious, you really do make such a difference in this community. Thank you so very much for all you do.

Amy & Spirit Libby
Liberty (Libby) was diagnosed with OSA on 1-22-13. Right front amputation on 1-31-13. No IV Chemo. Metronomic Therapy started 2-19-13 along with supplements and some home cooking. Lungs clear until 1-06-14. She's still her happy, hoppy, bossy self. Living the dog life to the fullest and a proud Winter Warrior. :) RIP my Libby 4-21-03 to 3-19-14
Sally, you are such a thoughtful person. This is beautiful. I can't seem to stop crying this week, for all our furbabies gone too soon and for all the compassion towards each other here.
