Hi everyone - Long time, no see!

My husband and I, along with our dogs Barret, Gatsby & Sara leave FRIDAY to start our cross-country trek to Alaska where we're moving. Ahhh! (P.S. You can follow our journey at http://drivingt.....umblr.com/ - I'll be posting pics all along the way!)

Last Saturday at That Fish Place - That Pet Place I had a kissing booth set up. Barret sold wet, sloppy kisses for a $1 donation to the Morris Animal Foundation and spread the word about Tripawds and their wonderful organization. I heard lots of stories about other people who have had dogs with cancer and of course, everyone wanted to adopt him (NO - He's MINE!!! haha)

We raised $85 for the Morris Animal Foundation and $124 for the American Cancer Society's Bark for Life event with a bake sale.

I just wanted to share :) Thanks to Rene & Jim for all the help they've been and to Martha for sending us the booth supplies.

Cheers!

Barret was diagnosed with Hemangiopericytoma May 16, 2013. Front left leg/scapula/pectoral muscle was amputated on June 11, 2013 and we've never looked back. Follow our story on http://barret.t.....pawds.com/ and read my column on That Pet Blog

It's a good thing you are moving to Alaska- I was just planning the road trip to come and 'visit' Barrett winker.

If he get's too cold in the great north he always has a place in sunny and warm California!

Good job raising money for MAF!

Our story: Broke rear leg in June 2013 - non-conclusive results for cancer so leg was plated and pinned. Enlarged spleen in September 2013 and had it removed and was diagnosed with Hemangiosarcoma and started chemotherapy. Became a Tripawd January 8th, 2014 and definitive Hemangiosarcoma diagnosis. Three major surgeries in 7 months and Shelby took them all like a champ only to lose her battle to cancer in her brain. We had 8 amazing extra months together and no regrets. #shelbystrong #loveofmylife

Just love your adorable Barett-what a kissable facewinkerwinker

Hugs to both of you,

Joan and Lily

Our beautiful Lily was diagnosed with osteosarcoma in her front leg on 12/14/11 at age 8 and had amp on 12/16/11. She completed 5 rounds of carbo. She was so brave and kicked cancer's butt daily! She lived life fully for 4 years, 3 months, and 15 days after her amp. My angel is a warrior princess. I miss her so much.
