Hey Everyone,

Yesterday was my boy's 2 month ampuversary. He is fighting a strong fight!!!! He did come down with an infection and it turned out to be MRSA Staff...yikes. I could not believe it but the docs are hopeful that it was tackled early. Right now he is on heavy antibiotics and back in a tshirt. He is happy and running and playing though which is all I care about. I hope all is well with everyone

Oh, how exciting!  2 months - great news! Keep up the good work.

I'm glad the infection is under control. Was it at the incision site or elsewhere on his body? The reason I ask is that after Rocky's surgery, he ended up getting raw, open sores on his remaining legs and on his lips. I suspected MRSA , but never knew for sure. A change in antibiotics eventually cleared them up, but it took a long time.

Wishing you many more ampuversaries,

Michelle

YAAAY!!!!!  2 months is a big deal!  I hope he got lots of loves and treats.  Two months is great because they are finally starting to get over that first bit of healing and re-learning, and they can run and play and be AWESOME!!!  Jack is a super-cutie and I hope his infection goes away fast.  Gold star for you, Jack, on your special day!  Erin and Jack,

Another great milestone reached and cause for a PARTY.  Cherry is alread here beside me wanting to know when we can start the celebration.  Our vicarous party will include, special treats, lots of hugs, ice cream, and (most important to Cherry) a truck ride.  So we are doing our part to enjoy this day as I am sure your family is doing also.  Never let the joy of these milestones diminish but take you cue from Jack and enjoy every day for the precious moment it provides.

I do not remember if Jack has done chemotherapy, but a common complication appears to be a dimished imune system.  A number of our TriPawd friends have had to go on antibiotics continously, and while Cherry has had more than her share of "bugs" since her chemotherapy, luckily we have not had to use antibiotics for nearly a year.  Stay on top of these infections and enjoy this milestone Ampuversary.

Paws crossed for many more ampuversaries and sending celebrating pawsitive thoughts,

Bob & Cherry

Two months is a big deal!  Happy ampuversary, Jack!  In case you are thinking two months is not very long, each month is a gift and a reason to celebrate.  Never think a milestone should go unnoticed.  It is good for you and good for the rest of us.  Each milestone is hope.

Hope you had a great celebration.  Give your pawrents a big slurpy kiss to show your appreciation 😉
