Awwwww!!!!!!! Welcome Myrtle!!! Sally, she is beautiful and if there is one thing in this world that I am completely SURE of tonight, it is that Hannah is BEAMING right now because of the joy she feels for you and for Myrtle. Long ago, I shared the Dog's Last Will and Testament on this site and I believe that you have honored Hannah's spirit by opening your heart and allowing her to share her loving, perfect mommy with another precious soul. Here's to all the puppy kisses that you can handle!!
Lisa
P.S. - It's about darn time you announced this! I've been afraid to even go to the chat room afraid I would let it slip!
Zeus was a Husky mix diagnosed with Osteosarcoma at age 11. A visible lung met and suspicious spot on his liver meant a poor prognosis-six weeks was our vet's best guess. We decided to fight for our boy and his right front leg was amputated on 12/1/11. We did six rounds of chemo, changed his diet and spoiled him completely rotten. We were blessed with 10 great months after diagnosis. Against the odds, the lung met remained a single met and grew very little over those months. A wonderful furbaby with the most gentle spirit, he fought with a strength that we never imagined he possessed. We have no regrets...

thank EACH of you soo much for sharing in my joy!, Yep, got another spoiled rotten dog over
Yes, I needed to tell a couple of people as all this was in the process of taking place. , I needed to explain why I had to put my tripawd/rescue hunt on hold for a bit. NOTICE, I JUST SAID 'on hold"! AND, it was just really hard to keep it all I !!
Long stroy short.....I was looking at Bull Mastiff rescues as well as others...and, of course, tripawds too! For many various reas I ns, nothing seemed to be panning g out. I connected with the family breeder I got Happy Hannah from and nd Twitter kid before her, and decided to check I to the pup lo you route. He would have none available til Winter. Cont I need checking out rescues on line.
After a lot of back and forth with the breeder, he FINALLY, he called me and said he would work with me on his five month puppy.....He originally mm offered me M one M of his six yr. females for free.... and changed his mind...........way too much to go I to now, but WELCOME HOME MYRT,LE......it was CLEARLY HAPPO YOU HANNAH'S plan all along!!
YES LISA, I am a firm believer in the last will and testament of a dog. Mixed emotions s? SURE! Part of the process. Feeling ecstatic to have Myrtle I my life? HECK YEAH
Oh, and Michelle kinda had a "feeling" I would be getting a Bull Mastiff pupoy, so her energy did help. Are this happen in a way!
Oh yeah, lots of M pics and videos to come!
THANK YOU EACH AGAIN FOR ALWAYS BEING BY OUR SIDE FOR EVER ASPECT OF THIS JOURNEY! I love you, YES I DO!!!

Awwww Sally -- so very happy for you! Happy Hannah clearly had a paw in making this happen. YAY!
Can't wait to see you and Ms. Myrtle tomorrow!
Deb and Angel Lexie* Diagnosed at age 13. Tried radiation first; wish we had amputated upon diagnosis (even with lung mets). Joined Club Tripawd April 2014 & Lexie loved life on 3 legs! Advice: Start physical therapy as soon as your vet clears it, especially hydrotherapy if available :-) See Lexie pics here.
I AM THRILLED! MY HEART IS WARM! MY SOUL IS WARMED! Merry Myrtle is the luckiest puppy there is. She's got a good thing coming...! WAHOOOOOOO!!!! Congrats, Sally. I bet there are loads of mixed emotions, but I think there always are, no matter if you wait a day, a month, a year, or decade since sending off an Angel. Happy Hannah is probably so happy you get to spoil another, in style. CONGRATS!

ACL tear in right hind leg 12/5/12 and scheduled ACL repair surgery 12/21/12. Pre-op xrays revealed osteosarcoma. Amputation 12/28/12. Chemo (carboplatin) started Jan 10, 2013 and ended on April 5, for a total of 5 doses. He handled carbo like a champ! No side effects. We started metronomic therapy at his third chemo and have been also doing some holistic treatments. He's a lively, playful 10 year old huskie-boarder collie and a very proud member of the Winter Warriors! Our love. Our funny little guy!
I"m just catching up on this... Sally I wondered why your signature said Myrtle so I had to go searching through the threads to figure it out!
AND..... OH MY GOSH!!!!!!!!!!! We are SOOOO incredibly happy for you! Myrtle is SO so SO lucky to have you as her mommy!!
UGH seriously Sally so freakin' happy for yoU!
Welcome Myrtle! <3
