I have such a heavy heart because of the losses of so many beautiful furbabies, and I almost didn't post this. I'm full of sadness about our beloved Happy Hannah, and I'm also full of gratitude for my beloved Lily. We started this journey 28 months ago, and I remember hoping then that I would at least have one more summer with her. I am beyond grateful to have this time with her. Please know that you are all in my heart-we're in this together.

Thank you all for always being there-what a wonderful community. For all the newcomers--we are here for you-I am beyond grateful to have traveled this journey with Lily. It has been so hard at times, but I wouldn't trade any decisions I've made for anything.

So please kiss your furbabies tonight for Lily and me, and have a treat in Lily's honor to celebrate the 28 months we have been given.

Thinking of everyone (Sally, you are in my thoughts during this difficult time) and giving chicken chips and ear scratchies to my gentle Lily.

Joan and Lily

Our beautiful Lily was diagnosed with osteosarcoma in her front leg on 12/14/11 at age 8 and had amp on 12/16/11. She completed 5 rounds of carbo. She was so brave and kicked cancer's butt daily! She lived life fully for 4 years, 3 months, and 15 days after her amp. My angel is a warrior princess. I miss her so much.

Happy 28 month ampuversary LILY!! What a wonderful milestone!  I understand completely Joan.  It is often hard to share good news, especially when all our hearts are breaking.  But there are times, especially when I was a new member, where I would SCOUR these forums for stories of long term survivors and posts about them....so it is important and we ALL want to hear about these successes.  I know Lily going strong at 28 months keeps us going!

Extra treats for Jill tonight on Lily's behalf! (she says thank you and meow!)

Jill is a 9-year-old tuxedo kitty. She was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma in June 2012 on her toe in her right hind leg. Her leg was amputated on 12/12/12 and she completed four rounds of chemo (2 of Carbo, 2 of Doxy) in April 2013. Well, I'm glad you did!!!!  Happy Ampuversary Sweet Lily!!

Lisa and Angel Zeus

Zeus was a Husky mix diagnosed with Osteosarcoma at age 11.  A visible lung met and suspicious spot on his liver meant a poor prognosis-six weeks was our vet's best guess. We decided to fight for our boy and his right front leg was amputated on 12/1/11. We did six rounds of chemo, changed his diet and spoiled him completely rotten. We were blessed with 10 great months after diagnosis. Against the odds, the lung met remained a single met and grew very little over those months. A wonderful furbaby with the most gentle spirit, he fought with a strength that we never imagined he possessed. We have no regrets...
