Wow, I really can't believe today is Sassy's 8th month ampuversary. It has flown by we are 3/4 of the way to our 1 year. Now that will be one big party. So we just thought we would share a few pictures. But before we get there. Yesterday was our check up and wanted to share our good news.
It is always a concern with Cytoxin about UTI. Well, our uti that we had was just that not caused from the metronomics (cytoxin). So we don't have to take her off or change our course of medication. Sassy's lungs still sound clear and prelim blood work looked good. NO blood in the Urine which is what we definately wanted to hear.
So in celebration here are a few pictures from yesterday at the vet's office & today
this is our surgery site after 8 months as you can see we still are kinda bald. it happens sometimes that dogs are slower to get their hair back
so I saved the very 1st one I took this morning for the last. I think she was telling me she hates her headband LOL

Hoppy 8 month anniversary, sounds like your appointment went quite well that is awesome and so encouraging a true day to celebrate. Your Sassy looks like a very happy and healthy baby and she is pumped to be with you. Love the headband!!!!

Thank you Dari. Sassy is pretty healthy other than the Osteo speading to her lungs but you wouldn't even be able to know that. I posted a you tube video of her that was taken Saturday at the vet's office. So take a look at her blog too. The link is at the bottom of my signature

YIPEEEE! This is one GREAT day for the Tripawds Nation! Congratulations Sassy, you are a truly remarkable pup who has defied the odds, and given hope to many. Your amazing story is just so inspawrational, you were put here on this earth to show us hot to LIVE!
I just love love love that pic of you and your Mom at the vets office. It's a great day when you can go to the vet and really smile like that right?
And I think your pawty hat is really cute. It goes with your Mom's t-shirt, which is really sweet! Thanks Michelle, it's an honor to see you wearing that special shirt on such a great day.

Our beautiful Lily was diagnosed with osteosarcoma in her front leg on 12/14/11 at age 8 and had amp on 12/16/11. She completed 5 rounds of carbo. She was so brave and kicked cancer's butt daily! She lived life fully for 4 years, 3 months, and 15 days after her amp. My angel is a warrior princess. I miss her so much.

Zeus was a Husky mix diagnosed with Osteosarcoma at age 11. A visible lung met and suspicious spot on his liver meant a poor prognosis-six weeks was our vet's best guess. We decided to fight for our boy and his right front leg was amputated on 12/1/11. We did six rounds of chemo, changed his diet and spoiled him completely rotten. We were blessed with 10 great months after diagnosis. Against the odds, the lung met remained a single met and grew very little over those months. A wonderful furbaby with the most gentle spirit, he fought with a strength that we never imagined he possessed. We have no regrets...

Just got the phone call from Dr Boyer about the blood work. and I quote "Blood work was excellant" So we are A+. Can't wait for the 9 month Ampuversary

I truly cannot believe Sassy is at the 8 month mark already! Hoppy Ampuversary and a big WOOT WOOT to you both!
Liberty (Libby) was diagnosed with OSA on 1-22-13. Right front amputation on 1-31-13. No IV Chemo. Metronomic Therapy started 2-19-13 along with supplements and some home cooking. Lungs clear until 1-06-14. She's still her happy, hoppy, bossy self. Living the dog life to the fullest and a proud Winter Warrior. :) RIP my Libby 4-21-03 to 3-19-14

PAWESOME!!!!!!!! This is such great news! hoppy ampuversary Sassy Bear! I LOVE the picture of both of you smiling so big, that's so sweet. But errrrr um, I don't think she likes the headband mom! LOL!

Jill is a 9-year-old tuxedo kitty. She was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma in June 2012 on her toe in her right hind leg.
