Here's a link to a great story about a tripawd bear in Denali park I wanted to share.  Here's hoping he continues to have a happy, hoppy life.

Cheers to this three legged bear! Glad to hear he is still doing well.

One of the top search terms that brings visitors to the Tripawds News blog is "3-legged bear" which most often leads them to Bear's story.

Thanks for sharing!

Notice how much bigger and healthier the bear looks now (second photo)-- glad to see he's doing so well.  We know our pups do well, but they don't have to hunt down their food.

Scout: January 31, 2002 to November 7, 2011

Scout's diagnosis was "poorly differentiated sarcoma"; amputation 1/11/2011.  Scout enjoyed 9 fantastic years on 4 legs and 9 glorious months on 3 legs.  If love alone could have saved you…

This is a very interesting article, the bear has an amazing strength to survive the pain.  What made me log in to comment here was the comments on the story.  Did anyone read those?

One of them was a man who was totally offended by the naming of the bear "tripawed".  He said that was demeaning and offensive.  He said would they next be making fun of the people coming to the park with disabilities?  Then (this is the kickerbig-grin) he said he would be willing to represent this bear in court to sue against the injustice of it, or something to that effect.

His comments were posted on May 10th and are pretty funny because he is being serious..  I have learned that you can't please everyone!

I am just in awe of the nature of this bear, what he has done to survive and now thrive.  He inspires me 🙂

I couldn't begin to say how special Sammy is to us.  Living and laughing with and loving this wonderful boy is priceless.
