Just have to tell you how much I am enjoying the forum banners. The new ones bring a smile each time I see them. I know all of them aren't angel hero's, but the ones who are make it that much more special. Love Paris, Cherry, and Shilo Anne. What a special honor.
Shanna & Spirit Trouble ~ Trouble gained her wings 3/16/2011, a 27 1/2 month cancer survivor, tail wagging. RIP sweetheart, you are my heart and soul. Run free at Rainbow Bridge.
The November Five - Spirits Max, Cherry, Tika, Trouble & Nova. 11/2008 - 3/2013 An era ends as Queen Nova crossed the Bridge.
I also love them…..it is wonderful that Paris and all have a place of honor on Tripawds and in the heart of all my fellow pawrents!!
Got a gift in the mail today from a friend, a book titled "Dog Heaven" by Cynthia Rylant. Although it is a childrens book. it is a wonderful book with beautiful illustrations and a wondeful message.
Ginny & Angel Paris
Grateful for every moment we had with Paris…..no regrets!
Honoring her life by opening our hearts & home to Addy!
Aw shucks, y'all are just too kind.
In the early days of these forums, shortly after Genie passed in June of 2008, her mom posted about Dog Heaven too. We also have it and found it very comforting when Jerry left us.
Thank you all for your kind words and continued support. If anyone cares to share there feleings about these forums, please consider posting in the new Tripawdds Testimonials topic.

When I first saw this topic, just a few minutes after Shanna's initial posting, I nearly replyed but decided against at that time. Too many of our members know why it is becomming so very difficult for me just now, but I will follow through because I feel that we really do not express our thanks often eneough.
The banners are wonderful in spite of a few ingrates who have objected like me! Well actully, I was extremely honored at having Cherry included but saw how tired she looked in the orginial Christmas photo that was used. I suggested her present photo which is her ears flying, running across the year, nothing but smiles photo that I had alread resized to approximatly the same size as is used on the banners. After all the effort that was expended to honor Miss Cherry, I objected. See what a jerk I can be at times. Getting back to being serious, everyone totaly understood that I wanted an uplifting photo and they totally understood how much it would hurt to see a face that was beginning to tell me that she was tiring of her journey. So a mere thanks is not enough, I want every one to know that they went the extra mile to place a banner of a much better time, and one that hopefully more inpawrational to any newbie. The only regret is that I had not captured Miss Cherry a little farther out so that after cropping to width, one could see that this happy girl is truly a TriPawd.
I also wanted to add to Shanna's list, Jack is currently at the top, Jake, Peyton and Wiley are also great. The fear is that I will miss someone and for that I appologize. By the way, I can relate to Jake's since all my Standard Poodles have loved to hang over the edge of the pool like that chasing a pool sweep.
See what happens when I get going - too long. Just wanted to say thanks and a special thanks for the extra effort for Miss Cherry. Everyone should know that you were not only very thoughtful, but that you went the extra mile to make it a great experience for me every time I see it.

The first time I saw Jake's picture in the banner after he had passed... I also had mixed emotions... I bawled my eyes each time.
It's a picture I have of him on his blog header... way before his amputation... But the more I saw it, the more I accepted it... and now I am so happy whenever I see it. It's like he still lives on... and I remember the day I took that picture... he was having so much fun, as he always did when playing in the pool.
It's a wonderful tribute to my sweet golden angel...
Angel Jake's Mom
Jake, 10yr old golden retriever (fractured his front right leg on 9/1, bone biopsy revealed osteosarcoma on 9/10, amputation on 9/17) and his family Marguerite, Jacques and Wolfie, 5yr old german shepherd and the newest addition to the family, Nala, a 7mth old Bengal mix kittie. Jake lost his battle on 11/9/2009, almost 8 weeks after his surgery. We will never forget our sweet golden angel… http://jakesjou.....ipawds.com ….. CANCER SUCKS!
When I very first did a search fro 3-legged dogs it was the pictures in the banners that helped me find inspiration. Everytime I got on I saw a happy smiling face of a dog who was a tripawd. I knew we could do it too.
In the past, since becoming a member of tripawds, I have enjoyed seeing the pictures of those tripawds who have passed in the banner. It's still inspirational. I see their strength and their beauty and their gifts they have given this group. It's more personal now, but I still say "hi" to Jake, to Cherry, to all the others I have known. Now that Adam has started to get on here too, I will tell him the stories behind the ones I know.
When we see Caira, it is sad. At the same time, it makes us smile to see her leap. I would never want you to take it off because if someone were to doubt a tripawds abilities, all they'd have to do is see her leaping. They can look at Cherry's gleeful smile as she runs, Caira's leaping, everyone else's look of sheer joy in life.
I think you've done a fantastic job. Thanks.
May 2001-Jan 21, 2010.....I'm a dog and I'm AWESOME!..... Always.
