haha awww Zac, we totally hear ya....when I first got Jill's diagnosis I probably cried into Jill's fur for about 3 hours straight. Then I would have boughts of crying episodes out of the blue randomly all day long!...but then I found tripawds and it helped me so much, so we're all just paying it forward!!!
Jill is a 9-year-old tuxedo kitty. She was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma in June 2012 on her toe in her right hind leg. Her leg was amputated on 12/12/12 and she completed four rounds of chemo (2 of Carbo, 2 of Doxy) in April 2013. Zac,
Everyone has given great advice here. I also went through chemo & metronomics with my Sassy you can read about her on the link on the bottom of my signature. She developed lung mets 3 months somewhere between our 4 & 5th chemo treatments. So we stopped chemo & did the metronomic therapy. Started out with the Cytoxin and did that for about 5 almost 6 months and then she also developed UC as Katy referred too. Then we started the Leukeran sadly we only got a month after that. I wouldn't change anything in her treatment plan except to maybe start with the Leukeran instead of Cytoxin. Sassy survived almost 7 months with lung mets (it was a week away from 7 months). She was also a Rottie. So I totally understand you love for major.
Crying?? We all go through it and all feel like we are falling off cliffs. That is what this community is here for support & advice. Without it we wouldn't have made it through our journey and still be here to help out with others. Erica made a good suggestion if you have time or want hop into the chat a bunch of us hang out there in the evenings. Laugh joke & support each other. If you do go to chat scroll down to the middle of the page & you should see it where it says chat loading then you will know you are in the room. Hope to see you there.

Zac,
Today is two years since we said goodbye to our 2 yr. old lab Misty due to OSA . We did it all to the tune of $25,000. If it was recommended we did it. We would do anything for her. Would I change anything...no. Would I do it again...no, when it got to her being in pain we just couldn't prolong her suffering for our contentment. As much as we loved her, we loved her even more to rid her of her pain and the future suffering she would endure. She survived 5 months from her initial diagnosis and I think everyone of us here would do anything to have that "one more day" and push that heartache farther away. I miss her every minute of every day. My heart aches and I am never going to heal from the hole that is left in my heart. You'll do what is right for your boy.
