Hi everyone!
I just wanted to give everyone an update on how Tyson's been doing. I haven't updated in a while!
Tyson had his first chemo 3 weeks ago, and he handled it like a champ! He had a bit of diarrhea the first day, but after that, he was back to normal! He's been acting completely like himself, and even a bit more playful! The other day, he was playing catch with himself and his new husky stuffed animal that my brother got him. I've been hoping to be able to take him on a walk soon, but there's still ice on the ground, and I don't want to risk him hurting himself! He hasn't been on a walk since...NOVEMBER! Poor pup.
He was able to climb up onto the couch with a bit of help. He's always really needed help, so that wasn't too shocking. He went in for his first bath post-amp at Petsmart, and the woman that always takes care of him called us when he was ready and told us that he was a completely different dog... so happy and playful! That makes me so happy!
He goes in for his second round of chemo on Friday, so well-wishes that he coasts through that, as well! This time I'll be able to be with him since it's spring break from school. Spring break in Chicago....all that means is winter break II!!
Lots of love,
Anna and Tyson
All goosey bumpy with happiness over here!! This is a WONDERFUL update!! Just grinning ear to ear!!
Honest to goodness, I think Happy Hannah actually felt better after her first chemo too! It really appeared to be a good turning point!!
So glad Tyson's sparkle is coming back! Quality, tumm rubs, loving, spoiling, p.aying with stuffed toys...that's what it's all about!! Wish your Winter Break would be snow fee! Virgi ia shuts down if there's a hint of an inch of snow...can't i agine what you guys deal with! Actually, if it's "just" snow...not deep, and not the "slippery" kind.....he could go on a very short walk...ice...no way.
Tyson's perfectly hapy being cozy i side on his couch though!
Thanks for the update! We'll look forward to pictures next, o,ay??
Way to go Tyson!!!
Hugs to all!
Sally and Happy Hannah
Happy Hannah had a glorious additional bonus time of over one yr & two months after amp for osteo! She made me laugh everyday! Joined April's Angels after send off meal of steak, ice cream, M&Ms & deer poop!
What a great update!!! Keep up the great work Tyson!!!!!!
Jill is a 9-year-old tuxedo kitty. She was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma in June 2012 on her toe in her right hind leg. Her leg was amputated on 12/12/12 and she completed four rounds of chemo (2 of Carbo, 2 of Doxy) in April 2013. "Like" Jill's facebook page: https://www.fac.....tty?ref=hl Proud member of the WINTER WARRIORS!!!! Her blog can be read at http://jillsjou.....ipawds.com. xoxo
What a handsome guy! Good news. I look forward to more pictures, too!
Liberty (Libby) was diagnosed with OSA on 1-22-13. Right front amputation on 1-31-13. No IV Chemo. Metronomic Therapy started 2-19-13 along with supplements and some home cooking. Lungs clear until 1-06-14. She's still her happy, hoppy, bossy self. Living the dog life to the fullest and a proud Winter Warrior. :) RIP my Libby 4-21-03 to 3-19-14
Way to go, Tyson! You can't keep a good Lab down. Keep on kicking cancer's butt.
Kathi and Murphy
Murphy is a five year old Lab/Chessie cross. He was hit by a car on 10/29/12 and became a Tripawd on 11/24/12. On 2/5/13, he had a total hip replacement on his remaining back leg. He has absolutely no idea that he has only three legs!
UPDATE: Murphy lived his life to the fullest, right up until an aggressive bone lesion took him across the Rainbow Bridge on April 9, 2015 and he gained his membership in the April Angels. Run free, my love. You deserve it!
Boy we needed great news like this around here, thank you for letting us know things are great!
Good luck at the next appointment, I hope it's even easier than the last one.

I love that he and his Husky buddy are "playing" in the snow! Adorable! Tyson has a great set-up...great lounging bed right next to his food bowl! He clearly prefers being in front of the TV next ro the fireplace though!

Now I'm going to have to see if I can get some Murphy video in between raindrops. You are inspiring me.

Alison and Shelby
Shelby Lynne; Jack Russell/Shiba Inu mix. Proud member of the April Angels of 2014.
October 15, 2000 to April 8, 2014
Our story: Broke rear leg in June 2013 - non-conclusive results for cancer so leg was plated and pinned. Enlarged spleen in September 2013 and had it removed and was diagnosed with Hemangiosarcoma and started chemotherapy. Became a Tripawd January 8th, 2014 and definitive Hemangiosarcoma diagnosis. Three major surgeries in 7 months and Shelby took them all like a champ only to lose her battle to cancer in her brain. We had 8 amazing extra months together and no regrets. #shelbystrong #loveofmylife
Thanks everyone!! Tyson loves to be pampered and told how pretty he is, so I'll pass on your messages!!
