1 MONTH AMPUVERSARY!! YAY

After a rollercoaster of emotion we can say we made it to this milestone. Arktik has been doing wonderfully well especially over the last week. He has been very cheerful playing with his toys, talking quite a bit (howling) (he does have strong opinions), wanting to run everywhere! This is really heart warming to see this.

So here are few videos to share this moment with you guys!

I have 2 horses that are usually not at home but for the time of confinement here I decided to bring them here (my neighbour has a small barn). So we have our routine each morning going in the barn turning the horses out and doing the chores. He loves it.

Also now in our walks Arktik would love to run. I have a hard time keep up with him at a walking pace haha.

And at last Arktik playing with a couple of friends.

Hi Patricia!  It is amazing how far he has come in just one month!  He is so clearly enjoying life and his time with you.  Happy 1 Month Ampuversary, Arktik! Your tripawd twin, Griffin, sends his love!  sp_hearticon2 Stacy

Griffin lived an amazing life for 11 years! Diagnosed with osteosarcoma on March 17, 2020, Griffin's right forelimb was amputated on April 2, 2020. Ten days later he was running and playing fetch! Lung metastasis discovered in July 2020 did not slow down Griffin and he lived joyfully for the next 7 months, passing peacefully at home on February 11, 2021. https://griffin.tripawds.com

COGRADULATUONS ARTIK!

You are definitely living a dogs dream life! That beautiful country side, lots of friends, and I just know you love all the smells in the barn.

You and your mom are doing awesome! Looking forward to celebrating many more milestones!

Tell mom it's time for a reward!

My Beautiful Beloved Brownie was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma on February 26, 2019.  With all odds against him he lived an additional one year and eight days with amputation, love, and prayer.  I was honored to be his mom, and I have never been so proud!  He will live forever in my Heart!

He looks strong and has great balance.  And most importantly he looks HAPPY!

Oh, and thanks for the howl- it set Elly furiously barking to the front window to see where the dog was smiley4

Arktik is happily enjoying our walks in the field with the nice weather we have been having lately (finally!!). Even if he loves the snow, I think he is just happy to be running like this in the grass.

Just before the end of our walk I put the leash back on Arktik to make sure he is coming back home with me (as he is a little bit a Catch me if you can kind of dog..very husky like). I'm so glad I did....

We got a little prickly encounter. Arktik was thrilled! So exciting. Hahaha

These were taken yesterday. Today was chemo day, Arktik was a champ sp_hearticon2 Everything looks good for now.

Hi Patricia!  Arktik is moving so well!  He seems like he is floating when he is running!  Griffin does the same thing Arktik is doing in the first video - walks away a bit and then always stops to turn back to make sure I'm following along.  I couldn't see whatever the prickly encounter was in the last video, but hearing Arktik vocalize about it made Griffin swing his head around just now!  Was today Arktik's second round of chemo?  Griffin goes for his second round tomorrow (he's on an every 4 weeks schedule) and I'm hoping he sails smoothly through like he did with the first round.  Keep the videos coming - I love seeing Arktik progressing so fantastically!  sp_hearticon2 Stacy

The prickly encounter was a porcupine, it climbed in the tree as soon as it saw us.

Yes it was the second round. He is a bit sleepy tonight as he was last time, so I expect he might be like that tomorrow as well and then back to normal (finger cross). All his blood work looked great, a small diminution in white blood cells but nothing to worry about.

Let me know how it goes with Griffin! We will be thinking of you two 🙂

Note to self: turn audio down when watching Arktik videos.

Elly is currently looking out the front window again, although she is more tired tonight so not so much barking smiley4

He really does look happy.

Karen, before I read your post, my thought was Elly is going to look out the window again...

Arkit looks absolutely amazing, and more important Happy!

I am so happy he didn't tangle with a porcupine.  Oh My gosh, that wouldn't of been good.

Such a beautiful  video of Artik forging his path right down the middle of the scenic trail. Just perfect for ao many reasons.  He IS such a good boy!!

WOW!!  A Porcupine!!  Glad the Porc decided  not to stay and fight!  That would not be good!

Thanks for videos.  He's just so handsome.
