Oh Max, we are deeply sorry to hear that the Tripawds community has lost such an incredible hero. When you first contacted us it was June, 2008. So much has happened since then. Wow.
So many have earned their wings since then, but Max had been going strong this whole time. Incredible. It's so sad to know he too has gone on to join them but we hope you can take comfort in knowing that he's in good company with all of our other heroes.Run free Max, and wait for me!

I hope Max's story gives some hope and encouragement to others.
It certainly does. Thank you very much for sharing, and bless you for all you did for sweet Maxwell. May he run free of pain and rest in peace at the Rainbow Bridge. His spirit shall live on here forever.
PS: Thank you for updating to this topic. Check the thread Karen started in the Coping With Loss forum for many more condolences from others.

Hey buddy pal - even though I know how hard this is for your mommy, it's so awesome to see you up here with all of us angel tripawds. Pretty cool eh? We're pain free, running in the beautiful fields and snoozing under the warm sun. There are tons of tennis balls to fetch and sticks to chew. My brother recently joined me and he was such a ball hog on earth - at least he has a few more manners here in the heavens!!
We're still able to come and go, check in our pawrents whenever we want to...c'mon, I'll show you how! I know I spent a ton of time with my mommy after I crossed the bridge - making sure she still felt me and wanting her to know so badly that I'm a happy boy in heaven even though I miss her with all my heart and soul. It helped a lot for her to feel me that way, so we'll go visit your mommy together so you can do the same for her ok? Don't worry, we'll all be together again one day.
My mommy wants your mommy to know that she is feeling this pain with her, walking the road with her. It's a tough one and she wants her to know that she isn't alone....we are all still here for one another. Once a part of the tripawd family, always a part. Our pawrents always worried about whether or not they would know when it was time to let us go - we do a pretty good job at telling them, thank Dog they listen 🙂 It's a difficult decision, as I can imagine, for our pawrents who love us so deeply, but there is a time for everything and even though the body is gone, the spirit, the soul and the heart live on forever.
We'll make sure we let your mommy know you are in good paws up here with us. Tell her to close her eyes and quite the tears...she will feel us try to give her comfort during one of the most difficult times in her life...we know.
Much love,
Spirit Zeus and Mom
