Oscar had his surgery today and things went well. Not sure when he is coming home but I just want to thank everyone who posts. I have been reading up on as much as I can and this website has been so helpful in getting me through the difficult decision to amputate and prepared for what's to come. I have been busy trying to get ready for Oscar to come home - although I am nervous about those first few days. I know it won't be easy but I feel better knowing I have this amazing resource here with all its members to help me get through it.
Awww what a gorgeous pup! I'm so glad the surgery is behind you both, he will be home before you know it!
Please let us know whatever questions you have and how we can help OK? We can definitely get you through this, you are not alone.
