Thanks! I'll ask about Canna Pet the next time we see the oncologist. For now, we'll hope the Palladia works. And he's back on Tramadol every 8-12 hours, so hopefully that keeps him happy.Â
The oncologist is pretty sure the cancer is slowing him down. We know of the two tumors, but she suspects there's more we haven't found yet.Â
We're one step ahead of you on the cheeseburger.  It was a long drive home, so I stopped at McDonalds. Of course, Rocky got a hamburger (no cheese though). And then, after I posted the update, I gave him a Frosty Paws. It's hard to hold those things when you're down to one front paw, so I helped him out.Â

Rocky had his right front leg amputated on Valentine's Day 2017 after being diagnosed with osteosarcoma.
He joined the September Saints on September 3, 2017.
He is the toughest, bravest, sweetest and best friend I'll ever know.Â
I'm so sorry to have the OSA confirmed :(. Â Please know you and Rocky are in our thoughts for many more better days. Â There is no questioning the bond between you and the love you share from the things you've said and that wonderful picture.

He pretty clearly hasn't been feeling too hot today. Maybe he ate too much. I ended up getting some grilled nuggets from Chick-fil-A last night for dinner, and I must have "dropped" about half of them next to him. Clumsy me.Â
I fear the end of his journey is coming. I gave him an extra Tramadol at lunch to try to help. And we started the Palladia tonight. He ate his dinner, which is good since I wanted him to have something in his stomach when the Palladia entered his system.Â

Rocky had a long day yesterday and could certainly be having a less good day as a result. With everything going on he's not gonna bounce back as quickky as he used to. During this part of the journey it is somewhat expected to have some good days and then some less good days and then back to the good days, etc.
And if it's as hot as it is here in Virginia, I'm sure Rockynis pretty zapped by the heat!
Ive read where Lisa gave Pofi some Pepcid before the Palladia. I think it was Lisa, it may have been Oliver. Anyway, ask your Vet about it
What's Rocky's schedule? Every other day? Three times a week? Or something different?
I love that you were...er..."clumsy" with the Nuggests and Rocky was right there to woof 'em up!!! Keep being clumsy!! 🙂
And I know you didn't mean to make a post without a picture of Mr Cuteness!!! That's alright, we'll let it go this time! 🙂
Lots of hugs

May try Pepcid to see if it helps. The oncologist is worried about ulcers from the Palladia; I just figure it's best to give it to him on a full stomach.Â
He was still sluggish this morning. I carried him outside and he sat on the patio, didn't even follow me in when I went inside (he almost always follows me everywhere). I took the trash out and rang the doorbell when I came back in and he came flying back inside at that point. So there is some life in him still.Â
He seemed to be doing a little better when I left for work. I'll see how he's doing when I check on him at lunch.Â

I hope with all my heart that when you open that door today at lunch his tail is wagging and he's looking happy! We'll keep our fingers and paws crossed for you guys.

Thanks for the support. I really appreciate it.Â
He still wasn't himself at lunch, but he seemed to be feeling a bit better. He took his ball outside with him to pee, which he hadn't done in a few days (he almost ALWAYS takes his ball out with him). He hasn't pooped since lunch yesterday, so I'm a little concerned about that.Â
I'm kind of wondering, if instead of the cancer, he tweaked a muscle or something. His blood work Tuesday looked great, everything is functioning as it should. His oncologist initially didn't think either of the tumors should be causing him discomfort at this point, although one is up against his ribs.Â

True. We've had a ton of good days, maybe we're just due a string of bad days. And the heat could be an issue. His allergies are acting up too.
As far as the Palladia, he's on schedule to get 40mg M-W-F. I started him on it last night, he'll get his second dose Friday and then we'll skip the weekend before starting again on Monday. He's got enough for two weeks right now. If it's working, he'll stay on it. If not, we'll try something different.Â

What was your experience like with the Palladia? Just curious. His oncologist has given it a 50 percent chance of being effective for Rocky.Â

Not at lunch, but this is pretty much happening now that I'm home. He greeted  me at the door, tail wagging then went outside to poop. Came back inside, found his ball and rolled around on top of it (a Rocky speciality). So happy right now that he's perked way up.Â

I'm SO happy you updated, thank you for the happy news about where he's at today. This is just one of those times that living day by day is the best way to enjoy each moment. It's so hard but Rocky's doing it and I can see you are too. Give him a little ball toss from us, I'd love to know that he's joyfully rolling around with it tonight 🙂
